Westport Ocean Fishing Trips
Rockfish and Lingcod: March 12th, 2022 - Through September
Our traditional bottom fish trip is still the favorite for most. With a 7 fish limit, action on the Black or Yellowtail rockfish gets fast and furious. This is an all ages event, never a dull moment! In addition to the rockfish, we are also allowed to keep 2 Lingcod per person. Fun for the whole family!
Salmon: Last week of June-September, or until Area 2 Quota is filled.
This is the foundation trip that put Westport on the map as early as the 1950’s. Salmon are one of the most exciting sport fish ever known, and they are all the rage at Westport Charters. Chinook and Coho salmon (nicknamed Kings and Silvers) are the top prizes for anglers fishing at Westport Charters.
Halibut: Limited Dates
This is a physically demanding trip, but extremely popular with the adventurous. Fishing depths range up to 700 feet, and we generally travel out 35 miles. Regulations restrict Halibut fishing to designated days until the quota is reached. Rockfish and/or Lingcod are also pursued as a secondary target when time and weather permit. These additional fish make a great Bonus to an already exciting trip! Remember, space is limited, so to avoid disappointment, book early. We begin taking reservations on January 1st, 2022 for these selected dates.
