I have reviewed a copy of the White Plains Children's Center, Inc., Employee Handbook, which contains operational and personnel policies.
Operational Policies include, but are not limited to:
- days and hours of operation
- the age range of children we serve
- admission requirements/enrollment procedures
- parent fees and payment policy
- information about services provided by WPCC, such as the number of meals served, before and after school care
- items, if any, to be provided by parents
- a schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties
- written procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect
- WPCC's discipline policy for behavior management
- a description of opportunities for parent participation
- nutrition and mealtime policies
Personnel Policies include, but are not limited to:
- minimum qualifications for each position, including reference checks
- health and medical requirements
- requirements and provisions for in-service training
- provisions for leave time and other absences
- description of job expectations
- procedures for ongoing supervision and regular evaluation of work performance
- resignation and termination procedures

- I have reviewed all policies referenced in this handbook and have been made aware that a reference copy is located in the Administrative office.
- I have had the opportunity to ask my supervisor or the Executive Director questions about the handbook content.
- I understand the policies described in the Handbook and agree to abide by them.
- I understand that the Handbook is available to me anytime during the Center's operating hours.
- I understand that this Handbook does not represent a contract of employment but rather serves as a guideline.
- I acknowledge that no representative of White Plains Children's Center, Inc., has promised me employment for any definite period and that no one is authorized to make such promises.
- I understand that as an employee of WPCC, I am employed at will, meaning that either WPCC or I may terminate my employment at any time, with or without cause.
- I understand that this Employee Handbook and the policies and benefits described in it may be changed from time to time, with or without advance notice, and at the discretion of White Plains Children's Center and/or the Executive Director. I understand that if changes are made to the Employee Handbook, including operational and personnel policies, I will be provided an updated copy and a new acknowledgment form to sign.
