Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI), the world’s first fashion incubator, is now accepting applications for its prestigious Resident member program. This program has served as a catalyst for launching some of Canada's top, award-winning fashion designers and entrepreneurs.
What's Included

Resident designers gain 24/7 access to TFI’s Liberty Village studio, as well as full use of industrial equipment such as sergers, a coverstitch machine, single-needle machines, industrial irons, cutting tables and more, including exclusive mentoring time with TFI Executive Director, Susan Langdon. Designers must be based in Toronto. Special consideration will be given to women-led businesses and equity-deserving individuals who self-identify as Indigenous, Black, racially-marginalized, and LGBTQ2S+.

Although the Province of Ontario has relaxed its COVID safety protocol, at this time, TFI is maintaining its double or triple vax policy to ensure the health and well being of staff and members. Leases are renewable for up to three years based on TFI's discretion.

Please note that the list price for studio rentals is $1,500 per month + HST however at TFI's discretion, a subsidized rate of $995 per month + HST for the first year may be possible for Canadian designers, based on the number of years in business, and duration of the lease. The rental rate includes fashion business mentoring, studio rent, use of all sewing equipment, equipment repairs, property tax, utilities (hydro, heating, water), and access to the shared kitchen, lounge and washrooms. A non-subsidized rate is available upon request to non-Canadians.

Additional mandatory fees include:
- Wifi $25/mo + HST per company
- Shared janitorial $25/mo + HST per company
- Shared supplies $25/mo + HST per company (kitchen, washroom etc.)
Optional monthly fees:
- Storage for property left outside of your studio (this is highly discouraged due to the potential for theft or damage), rates start at $100/month.
