Gamechanger Grants are a crucial tool to help us create exciting and innovative chapter programs and grow our chapters.
This year, we’re excited to continue our effort to level up Gamechanger Grants like never before -- receiving a Gamechanger Grant will also come with the opportunity to receive personalized coaching so that each chapter awarded a grant has the support to meet (and surpass!) its goals. We’re excited for how this’ll raise the bar for chapter program excellence across the Movement.Â
The Gamechanger Granting Committee will be made up of 3-7 Alephs and BBGs who are exceptional programmers, innovators, and coaches. They’ll work in partnership with the 4th Grand Aleph Gizbor, Ben, and the 4th International Gizborit, Ruthie, to serve as grant allocators as well as program coaches, encouraging the chapters who apply for Gamechanger Grants to elevate, expand, develop, and grow their programs as receipients of the grant. The expected roles and duties of the Gamechanger Granting Committee Members are as follows:
- Attend weekly 1-hour long (approximately) Gamechanger Grant allocation meetings. This includes reviewing applications to decide Gamechanger Grant recipients, as well as determining which applicants need further programmatic coaching.
- Be available for regular office hours, where applicants (both future and current) can join to ask questions about Gamechanger Grants and learn more about how they can elevate their programming.
- Serve as a program coach for some applicants, which includes leading regular coaching meetings with funded chapters to grow their programs, meet their goals, and spend their funds in a way that elevates their program.
- Build excitement around Gamechanger Grants around the globe, recruiting underrepresented communities to apply and spreading the word about these available funds.
The total time committment for this committee is about 2-3 hours a week. We encourage any BBYO teen, from any community and with any amount of experience to apply! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ben (443-800-1427) or Ruthie (203-399-7309)!
