Proof of Residency
The Indiana Department of Education requires local school districts to maintain proof of residency documents for students attending district schools. Proof of residency is required for new student enrollments as well as any time there is an address change. The following items can be used to verify residency:
Current Utility bill, telephone bill, tax return, bank statement, mortgage statement, rental/lease agreement, medical bill or similar information. Must show a date within the last 60 days, parent/guardian name and address. Proof of Residency document must have a street address. A PO Box is not acceptable. All account information can be blacked out for privacy concerns.
