THE RESULTS ARE IN ! YOU HAVE A OILY SKIN TYPE !

    You may have:

    Enlarged pores
    Dull or shiny, thick complexion
    Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes

Oiliness can change depending upon the time of year or the weather.

What's The Science Behind It :

Sebaceous glands are located within the skin and are responsible for secreting an oily substance called sebum. Sebum lubricates the skin, protecting it from drying out or becoming irritated. This oil, along with sweat, is secreted through the pores.

When this process goes smoothly, sebum not only lubricates your skin, but it also removes dead skin cells. However, when over-active sebaceous glands produce excess sebum, your skin looks shiny and your pores can become clogged, leading to many skin concerns.

    Despite popular opinion,

according to skin experts, the best thing to do for this skin type is to moisturize. Yes add more moisture to your skincare routine ! This will signal to your skin that it dosen't have to produce so much oil.

Things that can cause or worsen it include:

    Puberty or other hormonal imbalances
    Stress
    Heat or too much humidity

To take care of oily skin:

Wash it no more than twice a day.
    Use a gentle cleanser.

Use light moisturizers, serums, and/or creams.
Don't pick, pop, or squeeze pimples.

THE RESULTS ARE IN ! YOU HAVE A COMBINATION SKIN TYPE !

Your skin can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin). Many people have this type. It may need slightly different care in different areas.

    Combination skin can have:

Pores that look larger than normal, because they’re more open
    Blackheads
    Shiny skin

Typically, the combination skin type is characterized by dry, flaking skin on the cheeks, while excessive oil and shine appears on other areas of the face.

Combination skin is thought to be one of the most common skin types.

Watch for these symptoms and signs to determine whether or not you’re dealing with combination skin:

As the sebaceous glands under the skin produce excess sebum, your pores can become blocked by dead skin cells, causing sebum to build up and enlarge your pores.

    Shiny skin:

Those with combination skin experience shine on at least one portion of their face. For most, this shine is most prevalent in the T-Zone, and occurs because of excess oil production.

    Blackheads and whiteheads:

When oil becomes trapped in your pores, it mixes with dead skin cells and other debris, causing a plug. When this plug is open to the air, it causes a blackhead; when it’s closed, it results in the formation of a whitehead.

You deal with dry patches and acne breakouts at the same time:

If you have deal with dry patches and acne breakouts simultaneously, you’re likely dealing with combination skin.

    The key is balance:

finding products that offer extra moisture to already dry areas, without increasing shine and oil in others.

Avoid Products that Incorporate Excessive Fragrance & will clog your pores
