Are you ready to throw down your best chili!?!
Family fun. Great wine. Live music. Dancing. Shopping. Beatutiful views.
This competition is going to be fierce and fun and we would love to have you throw your chef hats in the ring!
Our long term goal is to continue this annual event and build it up to expand into a signature community and consumer Paso wine event on par with Pinot and Paella!
Each year the event will:
Benefit one or more charities
Showcase local music, arts and craft vendors
Incorporate multiple items and activities to entice attendance
Feature local Professional chefs, restaurants, caterers through competing against each other and amateur cooks for both a pro judging panel award and a people’s choice voted award.
Other than a fun day out in the vineyards and bragging rights, some additional reasons you might consider competing:
A great way to promote your talents, business, staff and style
Multiple cross marketing opportunities, social media and marketing exposure
Charitable "give back" feel good event
Networking with local hospitality professionals
For more information about this year's charity: We are partnering with non-profit New Life K-9's where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to their cause to help provide veterans with service dogs. https://www.newlifek9s.org/

For the purposes of this chili cook off, chili is defined as any combination of ground, chopped, or cubed meats together with spices and seasonings along with tomatoes, onions, peppers, beans and liquid such as broth. You may enter meatless, bean-less, vegetarian, chicken or turkey chili (white chili). Sausage either fresh or smoked is considered meat for this cook off
Neither ICE, CAS, ICAS nor any chili cook off association rules apply to this cook off; only these rules apply!
We are going rogue! Chili may contain any ingredients!
There is no entry fee! Feeling creative? Contestants may enter more than 1 batch of chili
All ingredients must be pre-cooked and treated prior to the event – chili is to be brought ready to eat.
Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils and products related to their chili submission and maintenance of its proper temperature for serving. Chili will need to be heated by grills. Spoons and cups for use in serving chili to the general public will be provided.
Each contestant must cook a minimum of four (8) quarts of competition chili. A portion of this chili will be submitted to the judges and the rest will be for public consumption.
Each contestant will be assigned a “contestants number” by the scorekeeper and be given a container in which their chili will be collected for official judging.
The decision of the judges is final. Judging will be based on score cards which are numbered.
Each contestant is responsible for policing and cleaning up the area at the end of the day and removing all items from the area. There will not be an area for cleaning of dishes. No items shall be allowed to remain after the close of the Cook-off.
Participant will provide:
