HOPE Co-Op Rules 2021-22
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: All parents, students, and visitors will wear a mask covering both the nose and mouth while on the campus of HOPE Christian Academy inside the building (regardless of immunization status).
1. Polite manners are required at all times. All teacher directions will be followed.
2. No running or shouting is allowed indoors.
3. No gum, candy, or sodas (under age 18) allowed (except during parties).
4. Students do not leave the building for any reason without your parent's permission
and adult supervision (except students age 16+).
5. Only students enrolled in preschool are allowed in the PreSchool Room.
6. EVERYONE will help clean before leaving. Please see the chore list for your WEEKLY
duties. Failure to complete your duties will result in dis-enrollment.
7. If you find something, PLEASE take it to Lost & Found in the Fellowship Hall.
8. The Pastors Office and Sanctuary are off limits without permission.
9. Food and drinks are ONLY allowed in the Fellowship Hall.
10. This is a true Cooperative teaching day. Except in case of extreme emergency,
students under the age of 16 are NOT to be in the church without their parent present.
11. PLEASE do not bring personal toys, electronic devices, or games (not related to class)
to HOPE Co-Op. This will eliminate disagreements and/or lost/broken items.
12. If your student is not able to participate in class due to skill level or attention span,
please dis-enroll them from that class. There may be a class that is better for them.
13. If there is a class active in the room you are in, please do not be disruptive during that
class. The class has priority at all times. The teachers always appreciate your help.
14. Common sense: Absolutely NO student is allowed to bring weapons (knives, guns,
etc.) to ANY school, especially HOPE Christian Academy.
15. Each family is expected to teach at least 4 hours per month or assist in teaching at
least 8 hours per month. If that family has a Preschool student enrolled, they are
required to teach an additional 4 hours per month in the PreSchool Room.
16. You are expected to assist the teacher in the class(es) you have offered to help
EVERY week (unless prior arrangement). If you have an EMERGENCY, please call
Constance Gillon by phone (256-513-9212) AND post on the Co-Op page ASAP.
17. Our family understands that regular attendance is required for success, and will make
every effort attend Co-Op EVERY week. Excessive absence results in poor grades.
18. Our family understands the value of homework, especially in the high school grades.
We will make every effort to ensure our child(ren) complete the homework assigned
during HOPE Co-Op classes.
19. Each teacher is required to provide a syllabus for each class and at least ONE lesson
plan for a substitute teacher in case of illness or family emergency.
20. The Director of HOPE Christian Academy has the authority to temporarily allow
student(s) of a family to attend Co-Op without their parents in case of parental illness
or emergency, but ONLY with prior approval. Do NOT send your children with a friend.
