Desired Entry Requirements into Year 12

Students must achieve seven full level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) passes at grades 4-9;

At least one of those passes must be in English Language or mathematics at grade 4 or above;

Any student not in possession of grade 4 or above in either English Language or mathematics will be required to re-take that examination in November or June of Year 12;

The normal entry requirement for academic couses is an attainment 8 score of 55 or above and a grade 6 or merit in the chosen subjects at level 2 (GCSE);

The entry requirement for A level further mathematics is a grade 7 in GCSE mathematics;

The normal entry requirement for vocational courses is an attainment 8 score of 40 or above and a grade 4 or a pass in the chosen subjects at level 2 (GCSE);

For courses that have not been taken at GCSE level, suitable grades will be expected in an equivalent subject area. Each of these subjects will provide details of appropriate equivalent qualifications;

Students must follow a minimum of three level 3 courses when entering the Sixth Form.

Option Blocks
Students must select their subjects from the following option blocks, with only one subject being selected from each block. Students should select a minimum of three courses, however, it is possible to study four courses should you wish.
To select Further Mathematics, you must also select Mathematics.
To select Business Diploma, you must also select Business Studies Extended Certificate.
To select Sports Diploma, you must also select Sports Extended Certificate.
