• Faith Formation Buddy Ministry

    This ministry gives students the opportunity to assist their younger peers in developing a strong Catholic faith. High School students who have received Confirmation can volunteer to teach a small group of students, or a special needs student in levels 2-4 for community service hours. Students in middle school and high school Freshmen, (grades 7-9), may assist an adult catechist teaching in levels 2-5 for community service hours.

    IMPORTANT FORM FOR VOLUNTEERS

    All middle school and high school students are required to receive and sign a DRVC volunteer code of conduct form, provided by the Director of Faith Formation. Please print the form at the above link, read, sign and return it to Loren Christie.

    Requirements to Assist a Catechist:

    You must be a parishioner of OLS, in grades 7-9, enrolled in our Faith Formation Program. You must attend Mass regularly.

    Requirements to teach a small group in levels 2-4, or teach a special needs students one-to-one:

    You must be a parishioner of OLS, in grades 10-12, who has received the Sacrament of Confimation. You must attend Mass regularly.
