The PW Community School District Parent and Student Guidelines for the iPad/Chromebook are designed for using the device in the classrooms and at home. PW Community Schools retains sole right of possession of the iPad/Chromebook. The iPad/Chromebooks are loaned to the students for educational purposes for the academic year. PWCS administrative staff and faculty retain the right to collect and to alter, add, and/or inspect iPad/Chromebooks at any time, including via electronic remote access, and to alter, add, and/or delete installed software or hardware. Students are expected to follow the school’s Technology Acceptable Use Policy (found in the Student Handbook) at all times, regardless of the computing device in use. Please read that policy together. If you have questions, please ask your student’s teachers, building administrator, and/or direct any questions to the technology department.
It is expected that every student will use common sense in caring for his/her loaned iPad/Chromebook. This includes but is not limited to: not throwing, jumping on, deliberately slamming or dropping, or spilling liquid on the machine. By accepting access, your child and you accept the responsibility of using the iPad/Chromebook and the network in an appropriate manner. It is important that both of you understand these responsibilities. Your signatures below indicate that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined in this document (Student and Parent iPad/Chromebook Guidelines & Agreement). Your signatures are necessary before an iPad/Chromebook will be assigned.
