Eric brings a wide range of skills to the table and has helped the firm grow exponentially in only a few short years since its founding. A native of Canada, Eric Tardif attended Bishop’s University in Quebec, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1990. Three years later, he was accepted into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of British Columbia. He earned his MBA in 1994. A second master’s degree was in Eric’s future when he was selected to attend Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. In 1998, he completed his Master of Science in finance from the prestigious business school. Eric Tardif first entered the healthcare industry as an executive at Morgan Stanley. In the firm’s Healthcare Investment Banking division, Eric served as the Managing Director, giving him the opportunity to develop investment strategies and to hone his skills in healthcare financing. In 2009, a medical diagnostics research and manufacturing firm called Gen Probe hired Eric to be their Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Eric went to work immediately in developing acquisitions strategy for the company. With his guidance, the firm was acquired by another life sciences company, and Hologic was formed. Eric stayed on after the Hologic acquisition as an operations executive and as a corporate strategy developer. 2014 was an important year in Eric’s career. He partnered with a private equity firm and a highly-respected business partner to launch Maravai LifeSciences. The company’s first goal was to identify and acquire like-minded businesses to develop innovations in disease therapeutics. The company’s products can be found in medical research laboratories around the world and are instrumental in the development of vaccines, pharmaceutical therapies, and diagnostic tools. Eric Tardif continues to seek new markets and new opportunities with Maravai as it grows into a life sciences industry leader.
