  • The Nevada Women’s Fund and Power of the Purse:

    The 15h Annual Nevada Women’s Fund’s Power of the Purse event is a premier, local, holiday, shopping experience. Our 1000+ guests enjoy shopping from local vendors, food, beverages and our famous high-end purse raffle. All proceeds from the event support the Nevada Women’s Fund’s mission: Empowering Women to Achievement.

     

    Event Date:  Friday, November 18, 2022

    Time:           VIP Hour 5-6 pm

                       General Admission 6-9 PM

    Location: Downtown Reno Ballroom, 401 N Center St, Reno, NV 89501

     

    This year we are reducing the number of vendors we invite to participate in order to create an improved experience for both sellers and shoppers alike while offering our vendors a greater share of the customer base. Vendors will be selected through the application process; uniqueness of product(s), product price range, variety and quality of display will all be taken into consideration.

    Applications must be submitted by September 16. Nevada Women’s Fund’s nine person events committee will select vendors and selection notifications will be emailed by October 7.

  • Vendor Guidelines

    When the agreement has been accepted the vendor agrees to:

    • Take home 100% of revenue.
    • Participate in the entirety of the event.
    • Load-in all merchandise between specified hours (load-in schedule will be determined in advance). (NWF will NOT assist with load-out, please plan to self-load out all merchandise.)
    • Provide enough merchandise to meet public demand throughout the event. Keep in mind that we typically have about 1000 attendees .
    • Arrange space to not interfere or obstruct the pathways. The room will be inspected to ensure fire code safety.
    • Maintain the assigned space in a clean and orderly fashion.
    • The vendor must make arrangements to have someone in the booth for the entirety of the event (5:00 pm-9:00 pm) and may not end sales before the conclusion of the event.
    • Be responsible for all monetary and customer transactions.
    • Load-out all material and merchandise no earlier than 9:00 pm and complete by 11:00 pm.
    • Take home 100% of revenue.
    • The vendor is responsible for filing and paying Nevada sales tax for the Nevada Department of Taxation (Phone:  866-962-3707).  Nevada Women’s Fund members will be collecting completed tax forms on the night of the event. Checks and cash are accepted.
    • Abide by all local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and statutes.
      The risk of loss, damage, and theft of vendor’s merchandise shall be borne by the vendor and each vendor shall be solely responsible to obtain insurance against such loss.
    • OBTAIN REQUIRED WASHOE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT PERMIT for any food samples. Contact WCHD directly for a permit (Phone: 775-328-2400).
      NWF will promote the event through all media channels; however, vendors are also asked to promote the event with their customers through their communication channels.
    • Vendors who do not follow event guidelines will not be invited to future events.

    *ATTENTION* Due to the COVID-19 emergency, temporary events planned for the next couple of months may be subject to cancellation. Please be advised that certain application fees are non-refundable should the event be cancelled.
