  • THE TASTE OF RALEIGH BOOTH APPLICATION & AGREEMENT

    Applications submission starts February 9, 2023 Please read all materials before completing the form below:

    IMPORTANT: The Taste of Raleigh REQUIRES vendors to offer SAMPLES of your best menu items. WE PAY VENDORS FOR EACH FOOD/DRINK/DESSERT SAMPLE GIVEN TO ATTENDEES. Food Vendors are required to offer a minimum of 2 (two) bite sized food/drink samples, no more than 4 (four). 2 oz cups or small paper boats are encouraged. Vendors are required to accept “TASTE TICKETS” in exchange for TASTES during the festival. “TASTE TICKETS” will be redeemed for $0.30 per ticket within 14 days of festival. Food Vendors ARE DEFINITELY ALLOWED TO SELL full menu items at their chosen prices with no proceeds going to THE TASTE OF RALEIGH/CHOICE FM.

  • The Taste of Raleigh, Saturday May 27, 2023 is a 1 day event. Space is available to restaurants, caterers, private chefs, concessions food vendors, food or beverage product manufacturers, merchandisers, wedding, and event professionals for the purpose of sampling, marketing, and sales of items listed within your application.

  • Food/Concessions Vendor Requirements

    All registered vendors shall:

    Provide their own 10x10 or 10x20 tent (preferably white) or other approved structure, extension cords for power, lighting, tables, fire extinguisher, and chairs.
    Set up in the stall assigned to that vendor and not infringe upon neighboring vendors.
    Be housed within a separate tent from other vendors, and only the vendor present can be advertised at each tent. No vendors can share a tent.
    Be ready for the Wake County Health Department inspection between 10:00 -11am. 5/27/23.
    Begin setup on Saturday after 7:00 a.m. and be set up by 11:00 a.m. 5/27/23
    Portion all of their food items such that they fit in an 8 oz. paper food tray or 2 oz serving cup to encourage patrons to taste all vendors’ offerings.
    Collect and properly dispose of in receptacles all of their own trash at the end of the evening.
    Collect all oils used for food preparation and cooking and dispose of them in accordance with local laws. No oils shall ever be dumped or spilled on the ground. 
    Abide by all federal, state, and local requirements.
    Hold harmless Northstar Broadcasting Corporation, Wake Chapel Church and Wake Chapel Church’s Life Enrichment Center from all injuries or claims arising from this event.

    Vendors will need to inform Choice FM of their sample dishes before May 11, 2023.


    The Taste of Raleigh food/beverage/ vendors will accept “Taste Tickets” which are redeemable for $0.30 per ticket. Vendors may ask multiple tickets up to 6 ($1.80) to cover the expense of the samples. To receive reimbursements for food samples, vendor must submit:  Menu name, portions and reimbursement amount (in $0.30 increments) for your menu sampling items. SEE BELOW


    Redemption cost for each item must be approved by Choice FM.

    Taste Tickets will be redeemed within 14 business days of The Taste of Raleigh. Redemption may be via electronic payment (Paysimple) or check (via US Mail).

    Vendors may sell full plates. Vendors will control and manage all money exchange at their booth, outside of sampling. Vendors should come prepared with proper change to manage this process.  Food items must be listed on or attached to your application.

    All accepted vendors are required to provide sample cups, boats, or plates with a sampling utensil as needed.

    Vendors are automatically included in a “People’s Choice” contest.

  • FINANCES & FEES

    Choice FM, will not accept the responsibility for any financial commitments and/or obligations undertaken by an individual organization.

    ADDITIONAL POLICIES

    ALL TENTS MUST BE SECURED AND WEIGHTED DOWN WITH A MINIMUM OF 30lb WEIGHTS ON ALL FOUR CORNERS. The tent should be secure enough to withstand any thunderstorms that are not uncommon for Spring in central or Eastern NC.

    SET UP

    Each exhibitor is assigned a set up time to prevent congestion in the festival area.

    Exhibitors agree to park in the approved exhibitor parking area.

    In order to have a successful set up for all exhibitors it is important to adhere to the arrival times and have all information ready available upon arrival. There will be additional festival vehicles and vendors who are arriving for set up around the same time as the craft vendors. Exhibitors who arrive late should be aware that the festival area is closed to all vehicles at a designated time.


    If Vendors arrive after the event area is closed to vehicle traffic, exhibitors will have to park outside festival grounds and carry/cart materials to their assigned space.

    Upon arrival to the festival area exhibitors will be asked the booth number and then you will be directed to the booth location. Be prepared to unload all materials/supplies that are needed to set up the booth.  

    All Vendors should be prepared and ready for public viewing/serving:

    Saturday May 27, 2023 by 1:00 p.m.

    BREAK DOWN

    During breakdown, which will occur on Saturday, May 27, 2023, after 6pm, exhibitors by chance may not be able to park their vehicle right next to their booth space. Every attempt is made so exhibitors can get as close as they can to their booth space to load their vehicle.

     

    PARKING

    Parking is allowed on the LEC lot. We recommend arriving early to unload your booth items and then parking your car ASAP to ensure you have a parking space close to the festival. Please see parking map on website for festival parking areas.


    Vendor will be asked to park their vehicles in a special exhibitor area of the parking lot or off festival grounds for larger vehicles once all materials are unloaded.

    If a vehicle is needed for refrigeration or storage and additional fee of $50 will be required. 


    Parking is within walking distance. Exhibitors can then return to their booth to continue set up their booth.

    WEATHER

    The Taste of Raleigh will not be canceled in the case of inclement weather unless we are advised otherwise by government officials. Exhibitors are to be fully prepared to protect against adverse conditions, such as rain, wind, sun, heat, etc. If severe weather conditions persist, i.e., thunderstorm/ lightning, the Festival will temporarily close down and then reopen. 

    Vehicles will not be allowed in the Festival area during cloudbursts - please be prepared to protect your merchandise. Vendors are expected to reopen their booths as soon as possible once the weather has cleared and the Festival reopens. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather.


    SALES TAX

    All exhibitors are required to pay tax their own taxes. Choice FM/Wake Chapel/LEC is not responsible for reporting sales and/or paying sales tax on sales made at The Taste of Raleigh for any vendor.

  • Hold Harmless Agreement

    The Taste of Raleigh is sponsored by Northstar Broadcasting Corporation.

    HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:

    I have read all rules carefully and agree to abide by them. I, {contactPerson} of {nameOf}, agree to hold harmless the Northstar Broadcasting Corporation, its members, affiliates, associates, tenants, and committee members thereof, from any claim including, but not limited to injury to person, damage to property, loss by fire theft or any other cause, nor will I/we be a party to any lawsuit. This is a legal and binding hold harmless agreement.

    I hereby agree to abide by the rules and regulations set for by the Choice FM’s The Taste of Raleigh, or with any other regulations that may be established. Further,

    I hereby release and forever discharge Northstar Broadcasting Corporation and Wake Chapel Church and their agents and representatives, from any responsibility,

    personal liability, loss, claims or damage arising out of or in connection with this festival. Finally, I

    agree to abide by and accept all the rules and regulations that accompany this application that now become part of the application.
