Weddings by Abbey is a team of stylists that are professional, trained, and
experienced in the bridal field. Listed below are a few tips and tricks we
recommend! If you have any other questions, please reach out to your stylist.
- Clean hair is best! **Please do not arrive with dirty hair.** Freshly washed (or
washed the night before) and dried hair will style better and can hold the desired
style longer. If your hair does not typically hold curls or a style-skip the conditioner when you shampoo!
- Bring pictures! This includes inspiration pictures for you and your bridesmaids,
dress pictures, and venue pictures. This helps give us a better understanding of
how you want your hair and makeup to look.
- Facial waxing needs to be done at least a week prior. Makeup, airbrush, and
spray tans do not stick to freshly waxed skin. Make sure this is done the week
before your service.
-Wear a robe or button up shirt. Basically something super easy to take off.
Pulling a shirt over your head after a makeup or hair service can mess up the
application or hair style. It is best to wear something you can easily remove.
- Clean and bare face please! Please do not have anything on your face besides
your moisturizer (this includes mascara or foundation from the night before). If
there is a product you want to use of your own, no biggy! Bring it in and we can
apply it. Just let your stylist know in advance
- Take a deep breath; your wedding day will go by super quick! Enjoy every
second of it.
General Information On the day of the event, all services will be performed following a schedule. I ask that you communicate the importance of being on time and properly prepared for each individual receiving services. Should we run late on this schedule, there will be a $15/ hour fee. Please inform us ahead of time of any time restrictions, schedule changes, or other situations that would affect the timing of services. Last minute services requested on-site may be possible if time allows. All prepaid services will have first priority and we cannot guarantee any other services will be completed. Separate payments may be made for individual services, but must be received before the service is performed. Consider wearing clothing that is easy to remove without disturbing hair or makeup. Professional products and application techniques will be used to ensure longevity. However, if you have any concerns about your style lasting, please communicate this during your styling session. We are not responsible for issues with hair/ makeup once we have left the venue. If a situation that occurs where we need to return (if possible), there will be a $50 fee, plus milage. Client is responsible to ensure getting ready location has plenty of working outlets and lighting.
Communication: To ensure clear and proactive communication, Weddings by Abbey will maintain one primary point of contact. This will be by email. Business hours are Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm. Contact will be made during year of wedding and months leading up to. This ensures each bride has enough focus during their scheduled month/year.
Trial Appointments: Trial appointment for the bride is not included with the retainer and will be done at the location approved by the stylist. If scheduling your trial appointment around bridal portraits or events, please make sure you allow plenty of time for travel. We are not responsible if trial appointments take longer than anticipated. Trials are as much for us, as they are for your wedding day vision. Please be diligent about scheduling your trial appointment as availability is limited. Trial appointments may be rescheduled once (with at least 24-hour notice) without a fee. After that, a $50 rescheduling fee will be due. Excessive rescheduling or no-show immediately forfeit the event date and deposit.
Travel, Deposit, Fees & Other Information: Weddings by Abbey has no minimum service requirement within 20-mile radius of Florence SC. Saturday, Sunday and Holiday weddings require a minimum bridal party of 4. When leaving the 20-mile radius, we require bridal parties of 4 or more. There is a flat travel fee of $200 for the first 60 miles, and $1 per mile after that. All parking, valet, and travel expenses (hotel, flights, tolls, etc.) will be applied to total cost and must be paid in advance. There is a flat $100 fee for each additional stylist/ artist coverage when needed. An initial 25-50% retainer is required to hold your event date, this retainer will be deducted from the total amount due. Retainers are nonrefundable for any reason and is due at the time of booking. Your package total is due in full, minimum 72 hours prior to event date. Services will not be rendered without payment in full. In the event there is less than 30 days’ notice of cancellation, no refund will be given on any amount paid. Artist's obligations to perform services are subject to change, in which alternate options will be available to the client. Touchups will be done after makeup application is completed on all who are receiving services. Returning to the venue for photos after the ceremony can be accommodated upon request. There is a $50 travel fee +$50/ hour.
Photography and Images: Client agrees to provide Weddings by Abbey with photo images taken the day of the event. Client agrees to the use of images from Weddings by Abbey for advertising on websites, social media, or printed ads for promotional services.
Liability: All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized and cleaned meeting the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology standards. Any allergies and/or
skin sensitivities must be reported to the stylist in advance. Clients agree to
release Abbey Perritt and their employees from liability.
Payment: A 25-50% non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking, and the total balance is due no later than one week before wedding. This includes all
application fees, travel, parking, and any additional fees. No exceptions. If
payment is late there will be a 10% fee. The person(s) responsible for payment is
the person(s) whose name(s) appear on this contract. There will be no refunds on
retainers and personal checks are not accepted. Payment can be made via PayPal
or Venmo (hmubyabbey@gmail.com). Client understands and agrees to the pricing and fees listed in this contract, and understands that pricing is subject to change based on fees, add ons, and cost of supplies.
Gratuity Policy: There will be a 18% gratuity fee applied to total cost of
services. This is will be given to the stylist(s) working the wedding or event.
Bookings and day of: To secure a date, a signed bridal contract and non-refundable 25-50% retainer is required at day of booking to ensure arrangements are made and time is allowed for each service. This retainer will be applied towards final cost. Retainer percentage due is based on amount of time away from wedding. One year+ is 25%, less than one year is 50%. All services are estimated and may change if additional time is needed or style is changed. Total will be split up into 2 or more payments to ensure there is no stress for you on the day of wedding. All clients must arrive on time with bare face and/or hair clean that is thoroughly dried wearing a button up/zip up shirt. If hair is not dried, a $55 fee will be applied to blow dry the hair. Bride/event planner is responsible for informing the party of dates, times, and conditions of services. The stylist will provide all hairpins, clips, and products with the exception of the veil or other hair ornaments unless otherwise discussed.
We have the right to refuse service: If our stylist(s) feel uncomfortable,
threatened, or verbally abused in any way she/they will have the right to leave
the premises without completing
