    Take your summer higher in the great outdoors of Colorado!
  • When: Friday, August 6th through Sunday, August 8th, 2021
    Who: Sons of ALL ages and their Dads or father figures
    Where: Blue Mountain Campground, Florissant, CO
    Cost: ONE price covers Registration AND Campground Fees!
    $49 for THREE DAYS & TWO NIGHTS for ANY SIZE family
    We recommend staying for both nights to maximize your weekend away!
    However, single night reservations are available for $29.

    Once you [Submit] this form, you will be taken to the Denver Church of Christ payment page.
     
    You will have the 2 payment options:
    1) pay straight from your bank without any fees to you or the Church
    2) pay with your credit card in which case you will be charged a minimal convenience fee
     
    The payment amount will be populated with $49. If you are only staying one night, hover over this box, click on CHANGE, and enter $29.

    HELPFUL INFORMATION
    • Carpool. Two families per campsite. Two vehicles max per campsite.
    • This is a high elevation facility (8,200 feet). Please drink plenty of water while and camp and use caution when traveling from lower elevations.
    • Dogs? Call South Park Ranger District at 719-836-2031 to discuss before bringing your dog(s). Leashed, well-behaved, and non-barking dogs permitted.
    • Make sure to read through this form and [Submit] the form to ensure your registration is received. [Submit] button located at the bottom of this form.
     
    WHAT TO BRING
    • All your own camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, mats, flashlights, bug spray, inflatable mattresses for old guys like Rob :), and so on)
    • Clothes for daytime fun (that can get dirty) & to keep warm at night. It can be cold at night! Be prepared for 30-40° temperatures!
    • Hats and sunscreen
    • Trash bags
    • Gear for any activities you want to participate in like fishing, biking, boating, hiking, and the like
    • Food for your meals.  Feel free to 'collaborate' with other families.
    • Drinks. (Fresh water is available at the camp).
    • Cookware, plates, cups, utensils, napkins, trashbags, and the like.
    • $ if you want to buy food, go in town, buy fishing license, do trail ride, rent boats at nearby reservoirs, etc.
     
    WHAT NOT TO BRING
    • Alcohol
    • Glass containers
     
    CAMPSITE INFORMATION
    • Arrive any time after 2pm on Friday
    • There is no parking fee and no separate entrance fee
    • Campsites are first-come, first-served
    • Our reserved campsites are 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16

    • Two families per campsite
      • MAXIMUM people per site = 8
      • MAXIMUM cars per site = 2
    • Checkout time is noon on Sunday
    • Each spacious campsite has a picnic table and campfire ring. Some sites also have grills and tent pads. Electrical hook-ups are not available.
    • Clean vault toilets and drinking water (via hand pump) are provided. There are no showers.
    • There is no trash collection at the campsite.  Bring trash bags and be prepared to carry out.
    • Firewood is available for purchase from the host, but is less expensive elsewhere
    • The Campground is 1.5 miles from the town of Lake George making it easy to grab food or other items that were forgotten.  The town of Florissant offers a bit more selection.

    GETTING THERE:
    • GPS Information (Latitude, Longitude): 38° 57' 41.0000" N 105° 21' 41.0000" W
    • Address: County Road 96 & County Road 61, Lake George, CO 80827
    • Directions: From Lake George, Colorado, turn off of Highway 24 onto County Road 96.  Follow the road for about 1 1/2 miles towards Eleven Mile Canyon. The campground is just up the way on the right hand side, just past the entrance of Eleven Mile Canyon on County Road 61.
