  • LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team Trainings by Frank Campbell, Ph.D., past president of the American Association of Suicidology and creator of the LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team concept. Dr. Campbell is an expert suicidologist.

It was due to his more than twenty years of working with those bereaved by suicide that he introduced his Active Postvention Model (APM) most commonly known as the LOSS Team (Outreach to Suicide Survivors). The goal of APM is to let survivors of suicide know that resources exist as soon as possible following the death. His work with survivors and victims of trauma has been featured in three Discovery channel documentaries. His model has been replicated across the US and around the world. www.lossteam.com.

Dr. Campbell states that through both pieces of training that we can help survivors by showing: 1. They are not alone and 2. Where help is available in their community that other survivors of suicide had benefited from and had agreed was helpful after their loss.
