Certificate Delivery Methods
1. Electronic Delivery (included)
When you complete the course, your electronic certificate of completion is emailed to the email address on file as required by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. You can view and print the PDF. The certificate must be printed and presented at a DMV customer service center to be eligible to retake the knowledge exam.
Every student receives a PDF certificate. If you complete the course during office hours, you will receive the certificate the same day. The delivery is not immediate; a staff member must create and send the certificate.
2. USPS Delivery (optional add-on)
Due to multiple requests, the option to have our office print and ship your certificate to you is now available. Select one of the shipping options and provide a mailing address if you want your certificate shipped. As a reminder, this is not necessary if you have access to a printer; the certificate we print is the same certificate you receive via email.
We visit the post office once per day to send out mail. If you complete the course before the day's mail run, your certificate gets mailed the same day.
Important Note About After Office Hours, Weekends, and Holidays: After office hours and on weekends or holidays, you will receive the certificate on the next business day. If you know you need the certificate by a specific date or time, make sure to complete the course in advance. Our staff will not change their schedule to meet last-minute requests.
