Please keep in mind that we do not have the space to accept all owner surrenders, and that surrendering an animal to us means that we have one less room to offer to other animals in need. We take owner surrenders extremely seriously, and charge a surrender fee (see below for details) to help cover the costs of their care during their time with us. If we are unable to take in your animal, or if you would like to try to re-home your animal yourself, you are welcome to post photos and information about your animal on our Facebook page in order to utilize our network to help find that perfect home - we have a large online following. Please be sure to properly screen all potential homes, and to never give an animal away for free. Remember that bringing your animal to a public shelter such as the Toronto Humane Society/OSPCA is always better than giving your animal to someone that you do not trust.

When we take an animal in, he/she is kept in a foster home with family and pets. Whether it takes weeks or months to find him/her a home, we keep the animal with their foster parent, and incur the cost of it's care, food, and vetting. We do not pay for our rescue work out of our own pockets and therefore, rely on donations and fees. Therefore, the following are fees we require for owner surrenders to ensure we can adequately care for our animals.
