Camp Ohana
One description of the church in the New Testament is the “Family of God.” How appropriate then is it to cultivate a sense of family at FCBC? Camp Ohana provides a place for both family and individuals to grow in faith and in community. For almost 40 years, Family Camp (Ohana) has been the culmination of our church’s summer activities! Parents and kids, grandparents, aunties/uncles, friends and caring adults come to strengthen Christian family life and relationships.
We invite you to come and join us for the weekend with family and/or friends to share in worship, stories, and in relaxation.
Camp Ohana begins with check-in as early as 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 3rd and ends with lunch on Monday September 5th. Be sure to register early as space is limited for this popular annual event!
Mission: Camp Ohana
We have a story to share, whether we are young or old, we have experiences and these experiences fashion who we are. We believe God has given these experiences to us not only for own spiritual development, but for the growth of the entire church community. We are called by God to pass on our faith onto others, not only teaching the gospel, but modeling it as well. We want our elders to learn and to be encouraged by our younger generation and we want our younger generation to learn from our elders. We to have a truly multi-generational experience, where we will have multiple generations in fellowship with one another.
Great Fellowship
The weekend is for you and your family to spend quality time together! Afternoons are a time to relax, swim or start on a craft project. Campfires will have you entertained and laughing. Come ready to share a jingle, a skit or a joke, and….. there’ll be s’mores! On Sunday, we begin the day with intergenerational worship in the chapel under tall redwoods. There’s plenty of time to engage in casual conversations with old and new friends! Camp will conclude with lunch on Monday.
Kids & Youth
A well-staffed program for nursery, children and younger youth will be provided when our program suggests the need. We hope to include the entire campership to fellowship together as much as possible to strengthen our family bonds.
