Note Taking (i.e. Scribe) services should be listed on your most recent approved Academic Accommodation Plan before submitting this request. If you need to make a DSPS Counseling appointemnt please call us at 209-588-5130 or email us at ccdsps@yosemite.edu. Note Taking accommodations are only approved for LIVE courses. Courses taught in a fully asynchronis format will not require note taking.

DSPS and your faculty member will make every effort to arrange an in-class live note taker. However, if this proves to not be possible, additional note taking/scribe technology may be offered or recommended based on the accommodation request you discuss with your DSPS Counselor.

You may also schedule an Alternate Media Specialist appointment to discuss new options such as Otter.ai (free app that records and transcribes your lectures into outlined notes). Call or email us as listed above for more information.

Note Taker Request Agreement

All DSPS students must agree to the following:
It is your responsibility to notify the DSPS office if you are going to miss class. Please email ccdsps@yosemite.edu when you will miss a class.*

When you miss a class, the note taker is not obligated to provide you notes. Please contact the DSPS office if your absence is related to your disability.*

For online classes, DSPS will only facilitate notetaking accommodations for synchronous classes (classes that meet live through Zoom) or for classes held on campus**

All notes will be delivered to a secured DSPS Google Drive folder with shared access for you and your notetaker(s). You and your note taker may organize the shared folder as needed. The DSPS office will monitor this folder regularly.*
