  • Thank you for your interest in serving as a Virtual Instructional Coach for first-, second-, and third-year teachers in Illinois.

    The Virtual Instructional Coach role is pivotal to early-career educators' success. Coaches should be exemplary teachers, teaching specialists, or clinicians who have strong instructional practice and an ability to coach adults through an instructional coaching model. Coaches should believe that relationships built on trust, exceptional teacher practice, and equitable student learning should be at the center of induction mentoring and are passionate about the instructional development of early-career teachers.

    To apply to be a Virtual Instructional Coach, please complete this application and submit the following materials:

    • Current CV or resume that includes all years of professional experience, including grade levels, content area, online instruction, professional development, and any previous coaching experience and coaching training. Provide evidence of your coaching experiences and implementation of professional learning in your practice.
    • Provide 1-2 samples of instructional materials such as lesson plans that demonstrate experience in specific instructional content or clinical areas, frameworks, and pedagogy, including the Danielson Framework for Teaching, culturally responsive pedagogy, project-based learning, or online instruction
    • Provide two references from peer teachers or other individuals who may speak to your ability to serve in the Virtual Instructional Coach role.

    Selected candidates will be invited to interview with the selection committee.
