Contracts Employee Production Policy 1/1/2017
All Contracts Employees must make production rates. If they do not Goodwill has to subsidize the employee up to minimum wage. This is an extra cost to the company. Therefore, the Production Supervisor will review the production logs daily and will inform individuals who are not making rate. The Production Supervisor will observe performance and will provide suggestions for improved performance to reach required production. A Production Improvement Form will be provided to and signed by both the Production Supervisor and the employee to document the discussion. If an employee is on the subsidy list for 1 pay period at $50 or more, they will receive a verbal warning about production. If the employee is on the subsidy list for 1 pay period at $50 or more after the verbal warning, they will receive a written warning. If the employee is on the subsidy list for 1 pay period at $50 or more after the written warning, they will receive a 3-day suspension. At this point, if the individual is on the subsidy list at $50 or more at any point, they will be terminated for not reaching production standards. This procedure will go into effect 30 days after an employee's first day of work with Goodwill Industries.
If an employee gets 3 disciplinary actions during a rolling 12-month period they need to be aware that a 4th offense, for any infraction, will result in immediate termination. Please refer to the policy on disciplinary actions. The Disciplinary Policy will supersede other policies such as the Attendanceor Production Policies.
