  • We follow guidelines posed by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) as follows:

“In general, puppies can start socialization classes as early as 7-8 weeks of age. Puppies should receive a minimum of one set of vaccines at least 7 days prior to the first class and a first deworming. They should be kept up to date on all vaccines throughout the class.”

Puppies must receive their first set of vaccinations 7 days prior to class. Dogs 6+ months of age and older do not have timeline requirements other than being up-to-date on their vaccinations.

COMPANION DOG BLUE — Sundays, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Foundations for a Well-Rounded Dog — Beginner Training

Get your youngster off on the right paw! Young dogs (less than 6 months of old) still have growing brains and bodies, so training should remain proactive and considerate of developmental needs. This class includes addressing behaviors such as jumping, nipping, and leash pulling, socialization techniques, creating a strong relationship with your dog, prerequisite skills for solid obedience, and preventing the development of undesirable behaviors and habits.

COMPANION DOG YELLOW — Sundays, 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM

Community Canine Manners — Intermediate Training

It's time to take trainning to the next level! We focus on *functional* obedience for skills needed in the real world to incorporate your dog into all the social fun of home life and outings. Skills in this class develop your ability to teach your dog what behaviors are expected for specific context to get a dog that can join you in the fun of life and be a more involved member of your family!

COMPANION DOG SILVER — Sundays, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

    Behavioral Wellness — Advanced Training

This special interest this session will focus on behavioral wellness for canines with special behavioral needs related to anxious or shy behaviors. We will work through methods for improving your dog's quality of life and building their confidence in choice-based and force-free methods of behavioral modification. Special skills will include canine conditioning for body awareness, interacting with the public to expand your dog's horizons, and developing clear contextual cues for teaching your dog to cope with stressors. ***All Silver level participants are REQUIRED to have attended at least 1 previous group class OR complete an in-person assessment prior to enrolling in Silver class this session.***
