This can be supplied in writing (max word 1,500) or PowerPoint presentation, or by video or audio (max 5 minutes - please upload to YouTube and provide link below) and can include
- A brief description of your organisation – aims, activities, developments.
- The need – what is the vital need or what are the issues you are addressing, how will/do you address this effectively, and what difference does your organisation make?
- Summary of funding request – how much funding is requested, what will it be used for, what is the period of time covered by the funding request? You may also want to include a timeline for expenditure or key activities.
- Impact – you may wish to highlight up to three key outcomes that you aim to achieve from the funding request and how you plan to monitor and evaluate these.
- How is your organisation best placed to deliver this work? You may like to include previous experience or successes.
- Leadership – we know that inspiring leadership can make all the difference so you may wish to provide some details of the CEO, a governing Board and/or staff delivering the work.
- Partnerships – we know more can be achieved by working with others. How does your work fit with existing services/activities in community, are duplicating or overlapping other work? Are you working collaboratively with others? If so, who?
- Financial summary – you may wish to include a simple budget summary for the year(s) that relates to your funding request, as well as a fundraising plan for the work requested including funding secured and sources as well as pending applications.
- You may wish to include any opportunities for engagement with the National Benevolent Charity – we aim to continually improve our grant giving, sometimes visiting projects and/or hearing first-hand from applicants on how things are progressing for example helps to inform our grant-making process.
- Should you choose to do so you can share some case studies, images and/or testimonials as we appreciate that this can help demonstrate how your work is compelling.
