We also obtain personal data from other sources in the course of providing our intermediary services. Where we obtain this information from another party it is their responsibility to make sure they explain that they will be sharing personal data with us and, where necessary, ask permission before sharing information with us.
The personal data we obtain from other sources may include the following: product details from lenders and/or product providers; identity and sanction checking information from identity and verification checking agencies.
We have reviewed the relevant regulatory requirements and have assessed where we have legitimate interest to hold and process your data and where we require additional consents. Where we recommend products which may have similar benefits to your existing cover or replace your existing cover we will do using only the information you have supplied to us in this document or information we have because we arranged such other products for you that your existing cover is likely to significantly affect the recommendations we are making.
Where we arrange an insurance policy or policies for you will also receive from us:
- a document entitled ‘key facts’ about our insurance services, which will tell you more about the services we are providing and in particular whose products we will offer you and whether we will give you advice.
- a policy summary containing key details about the insurance details we are arranging including significant exclusions or limitations to the cover.25
In most cases you will receive these documents and a copy of this document before we submit any application on your behalf. In some cases, for example if you need immediate cover, this may not be appropriate and we will explain the information to you then send you written confirmation. We will ask you to tell us if you want immediate cover or for any other reasons you wish to proceed before receiving information in writing.

We do not recommend you cancel any existing plans until your new policy is in force, you have received your policy documents and your policy has been activated by payment of the first direct debit.
