  • FluxED: A Coaching Cohort for Nonprofit Executives

I'm so glad you're here, fellow badass!
  • Before we get to the application and talking about you, here's the essential information you need to know:

What: This is a group coaching program that lasts 9 weeks.

When: Weekly on Thursdays at 3pm pacific time.

Where: The internet, on Zoom (and a private Slack group in between sessions).

Who: Badass nonprofit executives who want real connections and support.

Why: Because you know things can be different, and you're ready to make change for yourself and your organization.

We start on September 16th, and end on November 11th. Odd weeks we'll talk about specific topics and tools, and even weeks we'll have an hour of power coworking session (with optional breakout rooms if you have a burning topic you want to discuss). Between our sessions on Zoom, we'll use Slack to answer prompts, polls, share wins and ask questions. We'll have a bonus follow up session on December 9th to celebrate the goals you crushed, the lessons you learned, and get you energized for what comes next in the new year.

    Investment:

Earlybird Rate: $1,200.00 before midnight on 7/19/21

    Regular Rate: $1,500.00 starting 7/20/21

    Registration closes on September 13th!

*If you have a referral code, there's a space to enter it below!

My program promise: in this group you'll get opportunities and tools to...

    • Take control of your work life, so it’s not your whole life
    • Have a community of peers to cheerlead you whether you're taking a victory lap this week or stress eating peanut M&Ms at 8am on a Monday
    • Create a renewed sense of hope, energy, and possibility
    • Change the thoughts, habits, and structures that fuel burnout

So far so good? Ok, read on for our code of conduct and values-based community agreements!

  • Code of Conduct & Community Agreements:

Participants in FluxED agree to abide by this code of conduct and values-based community agreements:

    1. The facilitator and participants will treat everyone in the FluxED with respect, confidentiality, and care, both during group meetings and in all other communications. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate removal from the group with no refund.

    • Respect looks like: Learning and pronouncing people’s names correctly, using people’s identified pronouns, giving and receiving feedback, being kind to one another.
    • Confidentiality looks like: Not sharing other people’s information or stories outside of the group without their express permission to do so. What's said in our group (live or via Slack) stays in our group.
    • Care looks like: Actively listening to your peers, participating in group meetings, cheerleading each other through both wins and losses, and kindly and directly challenging thoughts and actions that aren’t serving our goals or expressed values.

    2. This is a group coaching program. The success of your cohort depends on everyone really showing up for each other and participating -- so don’t phone it in. By signing up, you commit to showing up to all 9 sessions to the best of your ability, barring emergencies and illness (because life does happen). Treat this group as a necessity for yourself. If you need to miss a session, please email ashley@fluxafconsulting.com as soon as is practical.

    3. Between meetings, participants should continue building community in our Slack channel and to use the tools and reflection questions to prepare for the next session. Preparing for your next session will take roughly 15-30 minutes per week, consisting of using the tool or idea that we talked about in the previous week, and 1-2 reflection questions to be answered on your own and shared in Slack.

  • In addition to our expectations around respect, confidentiality, and care, in this group we will operate with these values:

    Learning

    • We support each other to learn and grow.
    • We ask questions first before we give advice or answers.
    • We push ourselves to get beyond “we’ve always done it that way” as a reason for a process and are open to change.
    • We view mistakes and failures as learning opportunities, and share what we’ve learned with others so they can learn, too.
    • We are all on an intentional journey in learning about racism and other systems of oppression, and our role(s) in dismantling them.

    Connection

    • We create a space for everyone in our group. We actively build a culture where everyone of any race, ethnicity, class, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, accessibility needs, or country of origin feel welcomed and seen.
    • We actively cultivate an environment of trust, honesty, and connectedness.
    • We welcome and encourage energetic conversations across diverse perspectives and challenge each other respectfully.
    • We are present with one another in group settings (e.g., not checking phones or laptops), and let people know proactively if for some reason we need to be less present.
    • We acknowledge and celebrate the strengths and differences in others, and do not assume that the ways we are used to doing things are the only correct ways.

    Transformation

    • We recognize our role and power to transform policies and systems within our organizations, and the nonprofit sector.
    • We lead in ways that increase equity in our sphere of influence.
    • We are thoughtful about our privileges and how they affect our interactions with others.
    • We give constructive feedback directly, respectfully, compassionately, and with a focus on solutions.
    • We are not afraid to change course as more information becomes available.
    • We will approach this work together and the topics in this group with curiosity first.

    Fun

    • We have a good sense of humor and find fun in our journey to create new connections and do work that has meaning to us.
    • We practice laughing at our own mistakes and missteps, because no one is perfect.
    • We prioritize things that bring us joy and help us show up to our work as whole people.

I understand the code of conduct and community agreements outlined above, and my signature below indicates my committment to abide by them.
