SIFAT Internship Application
SIFAT has seasonal intern positions available for college-aged young adults who desire to serve Jesus Christ through working with youth or children. Interns work in partnership with the Campus Programming staff and under the direct supervision of the Campus Director and the Intern Life Leader. This is a great opportunity to participate in the lives of young people by building relationships, mentoring, nurturing them in their faith and facilitating a Christian education program. Interns will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by leading groups, facilitating learning oppurtunities, and more. This hands-on approach to ministry offers college-aged young adults a season to explore a call to ministry. Interns will also learn in-depth about appropriate technology, community development, and poverty and its causes. They will also participate in the life of the staff at SIFAT by attending staff meetings and by working in conjunction with other staff members at the organization. Requirements:
- Strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Able to work with a team and alone.
- Able to work with children and young people.
- Willing to work with people from various nationalities and cultures.
- Willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
- A love of the outdoors is not required but is recommended.
- Must be willing to work in a flexible and ever-changing work environment.
- Willing to do manual labor in all seasons.
Benefits:
- Living stipend or assistance raising funds.
- Free housing with access to internet and utilities.
- Spring and Summer interns have the option to go to our campus in Costa Rica (We will assist in raising funds for trip).
- Training and classes to further education and prepare you for your future career.
Length of Employment for Seasonal Interns:

(dates are flexible)
- Summer- May-August
- 3 Months- September-November OR January-March
- 6 months- September- end of January OR January- end of May
- 9 months- September- end of May
Terms of Employment: Compensation will be $1500 total for seasonal positions, paid in weekly increments. Housing will be provided, if needed. You must have own transportation. Employment is contingent upon successful background and drug tests. While employed at SIFAT we ask that you abstain from using drugs or alcohol and that you conduct yourself in a manner in which is honoring to our ministry.
