Call for Grant Review Panelists
City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA)
Are you an arts manager, arts expert, cultural events producer, or cultural business financial manager?
Have you lived in Los Angeles for more than three years, during which time you've attended weekly arts and creative experiences?
If yes to any of the above, would you be interested in serving as a grant panelist for DCA's Cultural Grant Program?
To be considered for an appointment as a peer reviewer, please complete this form which will involve a questionnaire and an upload of your current resume. If selected, you will be part of a diverse team that will determine municipal grant support for local artists or non-profit arts/cultural organizations. Panels meetings are scheduled each Fall-Winter, December through February.
(Note: If you applied within the last 24 months, no need to reapply as your information is already on file for DCA consideration)
DCA estimates that panel service can range between 10 to 30 hours of total work including advance reading, scoring, and meeting participation.
Panelists who are selected to serve would be offered a modest honorarium of $100 per panel meeting day, plus $10 per grant application reviewed, up to a maximum of $500. Proposals and scoring materials are sent to panelists at least two weeks prior to meeting along with scoring instructions. If you have questions, please contact the DCA grants staff at dca.grants@lacity.org.
