You spoke and we listened! While the pandemic threw a wrench or two in the usual pace of Hillel life, it also inspired us to launch Hillel@Home. In 2020, we began piloting student cohort experiences focused on connecting students with shared identities for community building and mentorship across the Hillel movement. As a bonus, we got to make some pretty cool programs happen- like a Purim drag show, learning what it's like to be transgender is Israel, and what the Torah has to say about reproductive justice.
Our goal is to support LGBTQIA2S+ students and allies, Jewish or not, across campuses around the world. The cohort will be driven by the needs, desires, efforts, and celebrations of students who attend. We plan to meet on a monthly basis beginning in early September. This first meeting will give us a chance to get to know each other and set our sights on the year ahead.
Not based in North America? Not sure if you will be able to attend? We still hope you can be a part of this group! Complete this form anyway to receive updates about future meetings and let us know if we should plan events more convenient to time zones around the globe.
See you soon!
We want this Hillel@Home session to be an accessible experience for all. Closed captioning is available for all Hillel@Home programs and live ASL interpretation can be secured upon request.
If you have other accessibility requests that would support your full participation, please enter them below. A member of the Hillel@Home team will be in touch within 3 business days to discuss or confirm accessibility services we can provide based on your request.
