Individuals or groups looking to reserve multiple park ramadas, open space fields, and linear trails are required to submit a completed Park Special Use Application at least 30 days prior to the event date.
If the event is estimated to be 500 or more people including spectators, a Special Events Application must be completed online at : www.glendaleaz.com/specialeventsapplication
Completion of this application does not automatically grant approval of the event. Please complete this application at least 30 days before the event is scheduled. Applications will be processed up to 1 year from event date.
* - All events are subject to fees. Fees vary depending on the size, scope and location of the event. Fees must be paid when event has been approved.
* - Events in Neighborhood Parks and Community Parks are approved on a very limited basis due to inadequate parking and restrooms facilities required for a large event. Only HOA and neighborhood specific events may be permitted in these parks.
* - Only parking lots may be used for loading and unloading. Vehicles may not be driven on or parked in turf areas, sidewalks, service driveways or emergency zones.
* - Liability insurance in the amount of $1 million is generally required for events in parks. Proof of insurance will need to be submitted if requested.
* - The user must leave the park in a clean and neat condition. If it is necessary for the city to provide cleaning services following the event, the user will be charged an hourly cleaning fee. Due to event size, a cleaning/damage refundable deposit may be required in advance.
* - If rentals under this Agreement are prevented or interfered with by weather or other circumstances that make it impractical or unfeasible to conduct or finish the event, the City of Glendale will not have obligation to the applicant.
* - User agrees to indemnify, defend and save harmless the city, its agents, officers and employees from and against any accident, injury, including death, and/or loss or property, or damage to neighboring property. Failure to comply with park regulations may forfeit the right to use city facilities in the future. Permits are revocable at any time for violation of rule, ordinance or state law.
