As a Company dancer, I recognize that being a part of Greenwich Dance Studio’s Company is an honor and privilege, and I promise to do my best to uphold its policies. It is an honor that must not only be earned, but maintained throughout the year. All Company dancers are required to take Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop classes, with the addition of Company Sunday Rehearsals and the option of Pointe. I agree to arrive on time and attend weekly classes, rehearsals, including Sunday Rehearsals throughout the Season, and performances, except in the case of illness, emergency, or unavoidable conflict, or I will be subject to dismissal from the performances, and/or Company. I will, if able, watch rehearsal in the case of an injury.

I understand that being a Company member sets the example for the rest of the GDS student body, which includes, behavior, respect for studio policies and staff, proper hair, dance attire, mandatory attendance at any and all master classes, assisting when needed, and volunteering backstage at our annual Spring Performances. If and when I must miss more than my 3 allowed absences per semester, I promise to make up the classes by taking another GDS class of similar level. Being a member of GDS Company is a privilege, and I am expected to represent the studio, teachers and fellow classmates with honor and respect, inside and outside the Studio, consistently exhibit good character, and conduct myself as a positive role model.

As a Company parent, I understand I am an integral part in contributing to upholding the GDS Company expectations and policies. I promise to respond in a timely manner to any GDS communication and email the office in writing regarding any absences and/or conflicts. I will be polite, courteous and respectful towards the GDS staff, instructors, and fellow parents. If ever posting photos or videos of Greenwich Dance Studio classes, rehearsals or events on social media, I will tag or mention Greenwich Dance Studio. I realize that I am also an extension of GDS, and will represent the Studio in a respectful, helpful manner.
