I hereby apply as an entrant in the Mrs. Alabama America Competition and acknowledge and agree as follows:
1. Entrant must be married as of the date of entry and throughout the competition.
2. Entrant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the date of application into the state pageant.
3. Entrant will continue to be a person of good moral character; affirms that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees: that she has not appeared in nude or provocative photographs for any film or publication prior to, during the State Competition or during her reign should she become the State Winner or “Mrs. America.”
4. Entrant must be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of the state she represents, and must have resided there at least three (3) months immediately prior to the state pageant date. Dual residency or residence at a military installation is acceptable
5. Entrant agrees to look solely to Rhonda G. Gilliam with respect to all matters relating to this application, the preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process. and all other matters relating to the Mrs. Alabama America Competition, Mrs. America Productions, Inc., its officers, directors, agents and employees are not liable to entrant for anything whatsoever in connection with the Mrs. Alabama America Competition.
6. Entrant must agree to attend the Mrs. America Competition if selected as the winner of the state competition, and further abide by all the required services, rules and regulations governing the Mrs. America Competition.
7. Entrant may have a modeling, commercial tie-up, personal management and/or agency contract, which contract however does not include, authorize or permit the use of the name of Mrs. America Inc., or any title designation or reference with respect to the pageant in any manner.
8. Entrant agrees to sign and be bound by the Rules, Regulations and the Contestant Agreement required by Mrs. America, Inc.
9. No person may compete in the National Pageant more than once. A contestant may enter the state competition more than once if she has not competed at the National Pageant and said Contestant may also enter the competition in another state if she qualifies for the residence requirements.
10. I agree that if I win or succeed to the title of Mrs. Alabama America/American and/or Mrs. America/ AmericanI will not participate in any pageants during the time that I hold either of those titles unless authorized in writing by Mrs. Alabama America Productions and/or Mrs. America Productions, Inc.
11. I hereby release unconditionally and forever any claim against Mrs. Alabama America Productions or its officers, directors, employees, agents, subsidiaries, assigns or corporate parentswhich l may have by virtue of my participation in this competition or any use of my name, likeness, voice, and/or biography in connection with this competition, including use in promotional and advertising material.
12. I agree to abide by all the rules of the local and national contest now in effect or as announced hereafter from time to time.
13. I hereby agree that the date, time, production, manner and method of judging of the Mrs. Alabama Competitions shall be solely within the discretion of my State Pageant Director and the decision of the judges shall be final.
14. I further agree to permit my photograph, voice recording and name to be used without charge for all publicity and commercial purposes and any telecast of the state and national competitions.
15. I understand and agree that I am free to withdraw from the competition at any time, but under no circumstances will I be entitled to a refund or transfer to another contestant any fee, either full or in part, that I or my sponsors have paid. There will be absolutely no exception to this policy.
16. I agree that, if l am selected as the winner of my competition, that for one year from the day of the selection my professional affairs as said winner shall be under the sole and complete management of my State Pageant Director and that I will not give any written or verbal endorsement of any mercantile commodity or commercial or charitable organization without obtaining specific written authority from my State Director.
17. I understand that as Mrs. Alabama America one of my duties will be to crown my successor.
18. I agree that I will not have any photographs made during my reign which portray me as Mrs. Alabama America without the expressed written consent of Rhonda G. Gilliam.
19. I agree that all decisions relating to my representing Mrs. Alabama America Productions during my reign as Mrs. Alabama America, and for the Mrs. America Competition, including hair, make-up, wardrobe, photographs, entry forms, etc. will be made by Rhonda G. Gilliam. I understand and agree that my prior pageant coach does not participate in my preparation for the national pageant.
20. I agree that I will make no appearances whatsoever unless official authorization is granted by the state pageant organization or its agents. I also agree that I will not incur and am not authorized to incur, any debts on behalf of the MRS. AMERICA INC. or MRS. ALABAMA AMERICA PRODUCTIONS.
21. I understand and agree that selection of contestants will be made by Rhonda G. Gilliam in her sole discretion. She is not obligated to accept anyone, even if that applicant meets all criteria and eligibility requirements for selection. Rhonda G. Gilliam’s decisions regarding the selection of contestants is final and not subject to challenge or appeal.
22. If selected as a contestant, I will sign and return waivers and release agreements and other agreements requested by Rhonda G. Gilliam, Mrs. America Inc. or any of its licensees, successors or assigns. I also understand and agree that my continued participation is contingent upon my signing the requirements as well as those set forth in future documents required by Mrs. America Inc. or Mrs. Alabama America.
23. I understand that any applicant who refuses to sign any of the waivers, release agreements and authorizations requested by Rhonda G. Gilliam shall be ineligible to participate in the pageant and/ or is subject to disqualification from the pageant with no fees refunded.
24. I understand and agree that the titleholder reign is subject to Requirements set forth by Mrs. America, Inc., may be one year, more or less.
I understand that the total production fee is due prior to the date of the pageant. Any and all payments, including any ad sales, are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE for any reason. I also understant that if I do not participate in the pageant I forfeit any complimentary gifts given to contestants.
I voluntarily disclose that prior to the date of this pageant, I have not engaged in any activities, which if disclosed to the public, would bring, or tend to bring, myself into disrepute, ridicule or contempt. Failure of the winning contestant to comply with any of the terms, provisions, restrictions or obligations hereof shall, at the option of Rhonda G. Gilliam, result in entrants disqualification, loss of title and return of any and all prizes awarded.
