The parents or legal guardians of the student hereby agree to the following terms and conditions of this Enrollment and Financial Agreement as a required condition of their child's enrollment in Promises School K-12.
TUITION: K-8th $85 per month per student, 9th-12th $150 per month per student. When completing your first months tuition payment, please check the box to authorize the remainder of your tuition payments to be processed automatically every month through recurring payments using the same payment method you have chosen. Monthly payments will be withdrawn every month on the same date your enrollment form was processed until the school year has ended. There is a 3% processing fee charged by our payment processing service. Promises School K-12 does not receive any government funding. We rely upon parents to pay their school tuition payments on time. If tuition is not received, Promises School K-12 will be forced to disenroll the student and notify the public school district of the student's disenrollment as required by law.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: Parents and guardians must inform us in writing of their intent to disenroll from Promises School K-12. Refunds will be provided for any months the student was not enrolled and services were not rendered.
ATTENDANCE POLICY: All students are required to attend school on school days and notify Promises School K-12 of absences in accordance with Education Code §48200 and §48222 for California students, 20-5-102 and 20-5-109 for Montana students. Parents have the freedom to plan their school schedule for the school year and agree to give Promises School K-12 a copy of this school schedule prior to the beginning of the school year.
COOPERATION: Parents, guardians, and students agree to meet with your education specialist virtually at your scheduled meetings, no later than every 4 weeks. Parents/guardians agree to provide Promises School K-12 with copies of the student's completed work at least 1 day prior to all scheduled meetings to be kept in your student's school records. Transcripts will be provided to parents and guardians upon request. Promises School K-12 will provide your student with their high school diploma when all credit requirements have been completed.
CURRICULUM: Parents and caregivers are required to purchase the curriculum of their choice to use in teaching their students. All students enrolled in the Homeschool program will have access to the use of any school discounts our school receives from curriculum vendors. Promises School K-12 does have our own curriculum resource library. All students can use available curriculum from our resource library at no cost. The parent/guardian is fully responsible for all items provided to the student for their education. These borrowed items must be returned to Promises School K-12 at the end of the school year, when the student is no longer using the item, and when the student disenrolls from Promises School K-12.
COURSES THROUGH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS: Parents/guardians understand that enrollment in courses through a community organization or college is completely optional and not required. Enrolling your student in courses through a community organization or college is at your own risk and Promises School K-12 is not liable for any injury or damage. Parents/guardians understand that Promises School K-12 will need to share required parent and/or student personal information with any community organization or college you have chosen to enroll your student with. Under no circumstances does the school sell parent or student personal information to third parties.
HOLD HARMLESS: Parents/guardians agree that Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and care of their child. Parents/guardians agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, Promises School K-12, it's officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers, and assigns, from and against any and all claims arising out of or resulting from my child's participation in the program, activities, or computer software, both present and future, made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns, unless the claim is caused by the direct and willful misconduct of Promises School K-12. Claim as used in this agreement means any financial loss, claim, suit, action, damage, or expense, including but not limited to attorney fees, attributable to bodily injury, sickness, disease, death, or injury to or destruction of tangible property, including loss of use resulting therefrom.
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE: The parties understand and agree that they have the right to execute this Agreement through paper or through electronic signature technology. The parties agree that to the extent they sign electronically, their electronic signature is the legally binding equivalent to their handwritten signature. Whenever they execute an electronic signature, it has the same validity and meaning as their handwritten signature. They will not, at any time in the future, repudiate the meaning of my electronic signature or claim that their electronic signature is not legally binding. They agree not to object to the admissibility of this Agreement as an electronic record, or a paper copy of an electronic document, or a paper copy of a document bearing an electronic signature, on the grounds that it is an electronic record or electronic signature or that it is not in its original form or is not an original. The parties will immediately request that their electronic signature be revoked in writing if they discover or suspect that it has been or is in danger of being lost, disclosed, compromised or subjected to unauthorized use in any way. They understand that they may also request revocation at any time of their electronic signature for any other reason in writing.
