Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build the days itinerary for the speaker
Arrange for pick up from hotel and escort to campus.
Find out if they would like to meet with faculty on campus or what departments they might be interested in visiting
Confirm what kind of A/V and computer the speaker will need.
Confirm that the speaker has submitted their paper and bio at least 3 weeks prior to seminar date. (Give participants time to read the paper prior to the seminar.)
Have grad students sign up as discussants (2 per speaker).
Contact discussants 2 weeks prior to make sure they are up to speed.
Oversee the completion of a sign in sheet for graduate student attendance records.
