2026 Nurses of Influence Awards

Each award recipient will be honored for their contributions to the nursing profession through an in‑person surprise celebration, a monetary award, and statewide media recognition reaching more than 85,000 Indiana nurses.

Nurse of the Year ($1000): A distinguished nurse who is committed to the art and science of nursing. One who excels in her or his area of expertise through exemplary care, practice, and/or influence.Distinguished Nurse Educator ($500): A current or former educator in the academic or practice setting, included but not limited to a clinical educator, professor, or mentor who holds or previously held an Indiana nursing license.Emerging Nurse Leader ($500): A nurse that is actively participating in leadership activities, taking an active role in personal and/or professional development strategies, and enhancing the profession through exemplary behaviors and role modeling. Nominees may include but are not limited to new graduates and formal or informal leaders.
