What is a Doodle Book?

I created The Original Daily Doodle Book for a friend who needed a respite and a way to relax and focus on something cheerful. Some of the quotes are my thoughts, some thoughts came from unknown sources, and where appropriate, they are attributed. The book also includes blank pages for your personal favorite quotes and a pen to write and doodle.

Each book is a month’s worth of thoughts on a topic or a writer. It’s designed to enable you to take 5 or 10 minutes for yourself. Read the days’ quote, it’s not the news—that’s the point, and as you think about it or whatever you’d like to think about, take a pencil or a pen or a marker or whatever feels good in your hand. Add to the page; doodle, draw or make notes to yourself. Each is color coded by the binding ribbon. They are created, printed and assembled by me.

Doodling is a reminder that life, really, is an experiment. It’s a way to shift into relaxation mode. There are only right ways to doodle. Have fun seeing where your pen or pencil wants to go. Only you can do your doodle.
