A Lotte Horses - Ranch Rules
All Students are required to take care of the horse they ride. - Riders and not parents are responsible for grooming, cleaning stalls and feeding. - If someone else has cleaned your stall for you, clean a different stall. This teaches students to respect their horse and to value hard work and teaches students to watch and be aware of the health of their horse. - Water buckets should be filled as needed. - If you own or lease a horse, feeding should be arranged with Lotte. If your horse needs a diet change, that also needs to be made clear to Lotte and everyone who feeds. - Cleaning tack should be done as necessary and always before shows. Be respectful of the ranch.- Remember this ranch is home to several residents. Please treat the property with respect and be mindful of your proximity to someone's house. (No shouting under windows, no letting horses eat cultivated plants, etc.) - An unattended children. - Respect Tina's rules regarding her animals, including when or how you can interact with her animals. Remember that their welfare comes before your entertainment. - ALOF/A Lotte Horses can lose the ability to stay at AB Ranch if we are not respectful. If you know more, help more. - Work together to accomplish tasks, and have a good attitude about helping out. You will need someone's help at some point in your life as well! Tidy up after yourself and others. - Do not leave your area messy, or leave your tack or tools around. Even if you didn't create the mess, please set an example for others by cleaning up.- Put away all equipment, regardless of if it is yours. If you don't know where something goes, just ask. - If you see something out of place, broken or that is clearly trash, put it where it belongs. Do not walk by it. Remember - we all want to ride in a beautiful place, so we must all help out. Riding is a privilege, not a right.- If you are unsafe, unethical, or unprofessional, you may lose your chance to ride at the ranch. - All riders under 18 must wear a helmet. - All riders must wear long pants and boots.- All riders under 18 must be supervised by Lotte, or by an adult while free riding if Lotte has given the specific rider permission. - No jumping unless during a lesson and while under Lotte's supervision.- Keep to your scheduled lesson. We all know how easy it is to get behind on the schedule, so try your best to keep on task and on schedule. - No one on foot is allowed in the arena unless assisting with lessons and you are asked to enter. It can be dangerous! For Parents and Guardians- Go over these rules with your child, and if you or they have questions do not hesitate to ask! It is of the utmost importance that all people and animals remain safe. - Before leaving, check that your child has completed their chores.
