Requesting Approval for Under-enrollment
Students requesting approval to under enroll should have a credit surplus sufficient to cover the under-enrollment. The LGSC cannot approve students without a sufficient credit surplus to under enroll; students returning from abroad with a credit deficit may be placed on academic probation and will need to consult with the Class Deans. A normal credit load at Smith is 16 credits per semester. Any credit accrued beyond this amount is considered a credit surplus.
