CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT

Thank you for your interest in stocking your titles with Lit For Black Kids. Please read and complete this form in its entirety to be eligible for submission. If any questions or concerns please contact Brianna Perkins at litforblackkids@gmail.com.
Lit For Black Kids and Signature* hereby enter the following Consignment Sale Agreement as of Date*.
Purpose and Effect

The purpose of this contract is to allow Lit For Black Kids to sell books on the behalf of the Consignor.

Agreement
1. To be eligible for consignment at Lit For Black Kids Bookstore, the author must pay a $20 handling fee per title.
2. On any sale of the consigned book(s), the author will receive 60 percent of the cover price and Lit For Black Kids Bookstore will receive the remaining 40 percent.
3. Lit For Black Kids reserves the right to refuse any title that does not align with their mission.
4. Authors must supply a 5 book minimum for sale at Lit For Black Kids Bookstore.
5. Lit For Black Kids reserves the right to set the sales price.
6. Payment: consignors shall be paid on the last day of every month.
7. Lit For Black Kids shall return the unsold merchandise after 6 months from which the merchandise was not sold.
8. The cosignor shall bear the cost of shipping expenses for the delivery of the Merchandise.
9. Lit For Black Kids shall maintain insurance coverage that shall be sufficient to compensate the Consignor in the event of fire, damage, robbery, theft, or otherwise. Books must be shipped in quality condition.
10. Lit For Black Kids or the Consignor may terminate this Agreement at any time and for any reason by providing 14 days advance written notice. The expense of delivery of any unsold merchandise shall be the responsibility of the party terminating this Agreement.
11. No modification shall be made unless made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
