Shopping Appointments Are Available Twice a Year

It is our joy to offer a free shopping center for kids in foster care and kinship care. We are located in Wilkinsburg on the east side of Pittsburgh and serve any foster or kinship families within driving distance. We have clothing, shoes, diapers, books, toys, toiletries, baby gear + more available for FREE! Our address is: 463 S. Trenton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221
  • Children over 6 need to be with you to shop at the donation center. Our mission is love and dignity for kids in foster care and part of that dignity is that they can pick out the clothing styles and sizes that work best for them!

Foster families and kinship-foster families will need to bring their current placement paperwork with them to their appointment. Paperwork must be dated within the last 12 months. Children must be in your care to have a shopping appointment. This includes infants who have not yet been discharged from the hospital.

Reunifying biological families must have a caseworker referral and are subject to our eligibility guidelines. Should you have a question about your eligibility, please email: center@fosterloveproject.org.

Foster Love Project is open for shoppers by appointment only.

We ask that you use your best judgement regarding signs of illness. Please re-schedule if you or someone in your household is unwell. We look forward to seeing everyone at the FLP Center!

  • FOSTER LOVE PROJECT PATRON POLICY

This is a safe space for our shoppers and staff and requires mutual respect. We reserve the right to refuse service to any patron exhibiting any of the following behaviors as they will not be tolerated:

    Abusive language

    Threatening behavior

    Physical violence

    Harassment

    Illegal drugs on premises

Intoxication due to drug or alcohol use

    Weapons on premises

Foster Love Project reserves the right to reach out to your referral agency if there are concerns regarding any of the circumstances listed above.

Foster Love Project operates by appointment only. We cannot accommodate walk-in shoppers. Additionally, no-show shoppers who do not communicate the need to cancel or reschedule their appointment may be refused service in the future. Youth experiencing foster care and kinship care are eligible to shop twice per year.

We are not an emergency response organization. Please contact your caseworker and agency if you need immediate assistance.
