Application Guidelines

1. Hard Luck Hounds will make scholarship funds available to provide inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation services to qualified pets currently in the custody of a licensed rescue organization.
2. These services might include but are not limited to diagnostic testing, rehabilitation evaluation, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, underwater treadmill, low-level light therapy, nutrition counseling, pain management, stem cell therapy, prosthetics, orthotics and boarding.
3. Potential candidates must be in the custody of a rescue organization with a valid license to operate. Documentation of license and preferably 501c3 status must be provided.
4. The acceptance of a patient will be governed by the diagnosis, anticipated return to function, anticipated timeline for treatment and availability of treatment, ability to be successfully placed into an adoptive home, previously attempted treatment and overall prognosis.
5. Our mission is to provide these services to pets who would otherwise not have access and to make successful future placement into an adoptive home a reality.
