CHOIR ONLY OPTIONS
5:30-6:00pm

NEW! Preschool Choir ONLY
3 and 4 year olds (as of September 1 of the current year) are invited to join this special choir program just for them on Wednesday Nights, from 5:30-6:00pm! They will participate in fun musical activities that will prepare them for the elementary program. This is a fun, informal, introduction to choir. Registration is required for choir. They will have the option to go to nursery, from 6:00 - 7:15pm (see below). 

Elementary Choir ONLY
Kindergarten – Fourth Graders (as of September 1 of the current year) have the opportunity to participate in this fall choir program designed just for them on Wednesday nights from 5:30 – 6:00pm! They will have fun learning the basics of music as they prepare to lead worship for our annual Choir Dedication Sunday and the White Christmas Programs. Registration is required for choir. After choir, those registered will be able to go to our Kid Connect at Night program. If you would like to register for Kid Connect, choose Kid Connect at Night Option below.

CHOIR & NURSERY OPTIONS
5:30 - 7:15pm

Preschool Choir & Nursery
We offer Wednesday evening nursery, from 6:00 - 7:15pm, for preschoolers participating in the preschool choir (5:30 - 6:00pm). Their parents must be attending classes or choir practice. Those preschoolers participating in our choir will be transported to the nursery by our staff. All of our nurseries are staffed with trained and paid employees as well as a Nursery Director.

We also provide a nursery only option, from 5:30 - 7:15pm, for Infants – 4 years old, for parents attending classes or choir practice. Registration is available HERE.

KID CONNECT at NIGHT
5:30pm - 7:15pm
K - 4th grade children are invited to join their church friends for our weekly program. They will have an opportunity to connect with God and others as they participate in the Children's Choir, as well as worship and small groups. 

Kid Connect Small Group Options

Twilight Time Art (K-4)
Come design art at night! This art class will offer art projects based on Bible stories and is designed for those who love art. The Art Show displayed on the mezzanine shows examples of the products created by previous art classes.

Creation Station (K-4)
For the innovative designers, each week we will design projects using various supplies, such as legos, etc.

Ballet (K-4)
This class is for the ballet enthusiast and is taught by a trained dancer, Ava Kesler. Ava is a junior at GBHS and has trained at Ballet Pensacola since she was 5 years old.

Sports Variety Pack (K-4)
This is for those who love sports. Each week we will participate in various team sports.

Field Trip Permission
My child has permission to attend the end of the semester field trip, and any additional field trips Kid Connect may schedule. I will be notified of all field trips, other than the end of year party, at least one week prior. If my child attends the Methodist Children’s Academy or Kid Connect on the designated field trip day, it will be assumed that they are to attend the scheduled field trip.

Safe Sanctuaries

Because we are committed to keeping every child safe, First United Methodist Church adheres to the Safe Sanctuary policies recommended by our conference at the United Methodist Church. This means we require background checks on all of our teachers, enforce the student-teacher ratio, as well as, require a registration form on every child and enforce drop off and pick up policies. We hope you understand that our staff and volunteers working with your children want to make our church a safe place for children and therefore, request that you support our efforts to do so.

Photo/Video Consent

Your child may be photographed/videoed during church events, with the possibility of the images being used for promotional purposes on Facebook, Instagram, the Church website, or printed materials.
