Clean Fuels Alliance America’s Sustainability Workshop

Workshop Purpose: To present the latest efforts, data, information, and research relevant to advancing sustainably produced biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuels in the marketplace.
2022 Workshop Objectives: To promote understanding of greenhouse gas emissions accounting and lifecycle analysis (LCA) for various stakeholders, including policymakers and fuel end-users; provide updates on these accounting efforts with a focus on impacts to the clean fuels space; and to identify opportunities to improve the science impacting these efforts.
Target audience: Industry stakeholders, including end-users, policymakers, and anyone involved in the biodiesel, renewable diesel, or sustainable aviation fuel supply chain.
Keynote speaker: Dr. David Babson from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) will offer a keynote address on ARPA-E’s vision for a new carbon economy and how the programs Dr. Babson oversees are working to optimize carbon efficiency and utility.
Dr. Babson currently serves as ARPA-E’s Program Director focusing on bioenergy, agricultural systems innovation, and carbon management. Prior to joining ARPA-E, Dr. Babson served as the Senior Advisor for Renewable Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment in the Office of the Chief Scientist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). There, he led R&D coordination efforts on carbon management, climate adaptation, sustainability, agricultural systems innovation, bioenergy, and biotechnology. Prior to joining USDA, Dr. Babson was a Technology Manager in the Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) where he oversaw several Conversion Program projects and worked to understand how to leverage new technologies to advance the emerging bioeconomy and address global energy and climate challenges. Before BETO, Dr. Babson advocated for sustainable transportation solutions as a Senior Fuels Engineer at the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds will be granted for cancellations received by Clean Fuels Alliance America at least 14 days prior to the workshop. After that date, an administration fee of $25 per cancelled registration will be retained.
