Why volunteer?
Volunteering is a great opportunity for potential physiotherapy students who wantto know what a day in the life of a physical therapist is like. It is important that youexpose yourself to various physical therapy settings and truly understand allaspects of the field. You will be able to ask questions and perform light duties tohave appreciation for the knowledge that will be gained in the classroom.
When should I volunteer?
It’s never too early to start volunteering, as applying students selected for anyPhysiotherapy program will need a minimum of 60 hours in either a public orprivate physical therapy settings under the direct supervision of a licensed physicaltherapist by the time they apply to the program
Requirements
Volunteers must be a pre-physical therapy student who needs to accumulatehours towards their physical therapy school application. At this time,volunteer opportunities are limited to this population.
Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 60 total hours. Should avolunteer agree to the requirements and fail to meet the time requirement,volunteer hours will not be verified.
