If your pet(s) required unexpected medical care during their stay, Vet Stop Animal Hospital will do what is considered best medicine per our veterinarians. It is our obligation to make sure patients are stable. Beyond that, when possible, we will always try to contact the emergency number on file to discuss any concerns. In the event that we cannot get ahold of any authorized personnel to discuss the care of your pet(s), we will proceed with whatever procedures/medications are deemed best medicine. If there is a budget you would like Vet Stop to adhere to for this care, please indicate that below.*

We require that you pre-bag your pet's food in the appropriate portions that you wish us to feed *per meal*. Any food not pre bagged will be subject to a bagging fee of a minimum of $10.00.

Your pet is allowed one blanket and one toy with them during their stay. Please be advised, if you bring a bed for your pet and it becomes soiled we will removed it from their run/suite however, we are unable to properly clean it before going home. If any extra toys are brought, we will ask that you keep them in your possession. This limits the potential for belongings to get lost or destroyed. We record a description of all belongings left with us during your pet's stay. We also have plenty of blankets and toys available for your pet if you wish to leave your own at home.

Express baths are simply a bath and towel dry, because of this, the only dogs applicable are breeds with short, slick coats (i.e. Labrador Retrievers, German Shorthair Pointers, Dachshunds, ETC.). All other coat types/ pets who are matted will require you to schedule an appointment with one of our groomers ahead of time. These appointments must be made in advance and are not offered on Saturdays or Sundays.

Group Play:

All dogs that you wish to have in group play must have an intestional parasite screening performed before they will be allowed to join group. These screenings must be repeated every 6 months and can take 24-48 hours to process, so please be advised that dogs here for short stays may not join group if the sample is not dropped off in advance. Their group play will be changed to individual play during their stay in these cases.

All dogs in group play are subject to temperment testing before being added to group. If your pet has not participated in our daycare/group play in the previous 6 months or longer your pet will need to update their temperment test. These temperment tests are free of charge and are offered typically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If your pet will be staying with us on those days we can do the temperment test while they are here, if your pet will be with us on any other day please schedule the temperment test ahead of your pet's stay.

Upon submission of this form you will be prompted to submit a Daycare Application as well. All first time group play dogs *must have this application submitted in advance to be allowed in group play*. Our Lead Lodge Attendant will be in contact with you upon review of this application. Failure to submit this application will result in your pet's group play being changed to individual play.

Grooming Policies:

1. If an owner’s pet is severely tangled or matted, it is at greater risk of injury, stress and trauma. All precautions will be taken. However, problems occasionally arise, during or after grooming, such as nicks, clipper burn, and stress. If an injury occurs, Vet Stop Animal Hospital will treat the pet, and the owner will be liable for any costs associated with treatment. Pet owners will not hold Vet Stop Animal Hospital, its grooming department, or its groomers responsible for any injuries that may occur to their pet (ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY).

2. All pets that come into the clinic with fleas or ticks will be treated. The cost of this treatment is fully at the pet owner’s expense ($8+ for 24-hour flea medication, $5 per 5 minutes of parasite removal).

3. If the groomer needs assistance from another staff member to complete a pet’s grooming appointment, there will be an additional cost at the pet owner’s expense ($10+).

4. Typically, a grooming session takes 4-6 hours. Some of this is dependent on pet size, behavior, and condition. If a groom takes longer due to pet behavior, an Extended Grooming Fee may be charged at a rate of $5 for every 15 minutes.

5. If a pet is uncomfortable enough with their grooming experience, we may require sedation to prevent the pet or staff from injury or unnecessary stress. If this is the case, the pet owner will be notified, the appointment may need to be rescheduled to allow time for sedation, and it is possible the pet will need to be sedated for future grooming appointments.

6. Vet Stop Animal Hospital may photograph your pet for marketing/training purposes, and will not sell the photos to any third-party entities.

7. If the pet is at all matted, they are subject to an additional matting charge ($5-50) based on the severity at the pet owner's expense.

Daycare & Boarding Policies:

1. All pets that come into the clinic with fleas or ticks will be treated. The cost of this treatment is fully at the pet owner’s expense.

2. Payment in full must be collected at the time of pick-up. If a pet is being picked up on the on the weekend, payment must be made at the time of drop-off for the estimated total. The client will be responsible for any additional charges that occur during their pet's stay, which will be collected on the following Monday.

3. All daycare pets must be spayed/neutered. Any in-tact pets will not be eligible for group play. There will also be an extra charge ($5/day) for any boarding females that are in heat during their stay.

4. Boarding pick up time is 5pm. Pick up after this time will require the client to pay for an additonal night of the run/suite charge. Standard latest pick up time is 30 minutes before close of business. If you pet is not picked-up before close, Vet Stop Animal Hospital will board your pet overnight at the pet owner's expense.

5. Shared-space reservations will receive a 10% discount on the run/suite charge.

6. Pets who display any aggressive behavior during their stay will not be eligible for group play. They may also not be eligible for individual play dependent on the pet's triggers.

7. Boarding pets who are not up to date on their vaccines/testing at the time of drop off will be updated that day and ineligible for group play until updates are complete. Boarding pets who's vaccines/testing expire during their stay will be vaccinated prior to the expiration date.

8. If your pet experiences any illness or injury during their stay, Vet Stop Animal Hospital will care for the pet as deemed best medicine at the pet owner's expense. We will contact the owner and/or emergency at the below listed number. Vet Stop Animal Hospital takes all measures possible to prevent illness or injury. The client will not hold Vet Stop Animal Hospital liable for any illness/injury.

9. If owner fails to pick up their pet within 7 days after scheduled pick-up, the pet will be considered abandoned and may transfer the pet to the local animal control/shelter or make efforts to re-home the pet (at Vet Stop Animal Hospital's discretion)
