    Any incomplete applications will not be reviewed for consideration.
  • For the 2025 academic school year, The T.O.W.A.F. Educational Scholarship Fund will award monetary and or computer scholarships to equip students with a hopeful kickstart to their higher learning experience.
  • 2025 T.O.W.A.F. Educational Scholarship Fund Eligibility Requirements

    1. Applicant must provide a letter of acceptance from a college, university, trade, or vocational school 2. Applicant must be a resident of St. John’s County 3. Applicant must be underserved (underserved verification survey must be completed on application) 4. Applicants must desire to give back to their community 5. The applicant may not be related to any TOWAF Board members, as this presents a conflict of interest 6. Applicants must submit an application, complete the interview process, and attend a scholarship orientation with the Tarek Odom West Augustine Foundation.
  • The Mission

    The Mission of the Tarek Odom West Augustine Foundation is to support local non-profits and provide educational and entrepreneurial scholarships that edify and empower its underserved community. 
  • Scholarship Mission

    The Mission is to reach those that are underserved and/or pursuing an untraditional educational path. This includes students pursuing college, but also any underserved person pursuing a post-high school educational degree, certificate, license, or certification is eligible. From previous years, our recipient Eugene Cobb is a great example of our untraditional educational scholarships. He enrolled as a student with the National Training Inc. to pursue his Commercial Driver's License, graduated, and is now an employee with a commercial driving company.
  • The Vision

    The Vision of the Tarek Odom West Augustine Foundation is to cultivate future leaders and to increase minority ownership within St. Augustine, Florida.  
  • The Purpose

    The Purpose of the T.O.W.A.F. Scholarship Fund is to support underserved high school graduating seniors and adults pursuing higher education, degrees, and certifications. 
  • Application process

    Applicant must submit the following items: 1. Complete application form below. 2. Submit Letter of Acceptance from the institution you are attending. 3. Submit Two Letters of Recommendations: -- One Professional Reference (Teacher, Employer, Volunteer Coordinator, Church Affiliate etc). - One Personal Reference (Family, Friend, etc) 4. Submit a Personal Essay (Tell us about yourself, your life goals, and how enrolling in school will help you reach those goals)
