  • American Beverage is teaming up with health and wellness nonprofit GENYOUth to bring your students (ages 13+) a FREE all-virtual design thinking experience on October 13 at 11am ET/10am CT!

    During this event, students will work with professional mentors to refine their BIG ideas to reexamine how they think about sustainability, packaging, and the life cycle of materials in your schools. Students will learn key skills to pitch to a panel of judges that day for a chance to win grant funding! 

    This event is open to any schools within 50 miles of Baltimore, MD, Louisville, KY, Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX Metro Area, Phoenix, AZ, Greater Ft.     One educator or advisor should register to save a spot for them and up to five students. You do not need to know students' names at this time - we will collect that from you after registration.
    1. Register your school group or groups (up to 5 students per group ages 13+).
    2. This event is open to any schools within 50 miles of Baltimore, MD; Louisville, KY; Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX Metro Area; Phoenix, AZ; Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Florida; Greater Los Angeles, CA; Denver/Boulder, CO.
    3. Receive a Made to be Remade workshop kit in the mail with everything students will need to participate in the event.
    4. School groups log in and participate live on event day.
    5. Students work with mentors to dig deeper into the challenge and to ultimately pitch their ideas on screen for the chance to receive funding for their BIG idea! 
    6. Because this is a virtual event, students and teachers will need access to a working computer with internet and the ability to access Zoom. This is not a webinar - students will interact with company volunteers and mentors to actively design and build their ideas - absolutely no subject matter expertise is needed, just youth voice and passion!
