Excessive speeding is an open invitation to have a law enforcement officer pull you over for a little personal meet and greet. Although it's tempting to let those horses run a little wilder or to just "go with the flow of traffic", I promise you that it's never worth it!
Excessive speeding leads to fines, lost time from a roadside inspection, increased wear and tear on the truck, potential points on your license and the violation showing on your PSP report for the next 3 years.
Apart from those very clear negatives, operating at excessive speeds is dangerous. Studies have shown that speeding is a leading contributor to truck crashes and it makes crashes more svere.
We don't want any of these bad things to happen and we want you to get home safely at the end of each trip. So, this month we're going to focus on operating at safe speeds.
