  • MEMBERSHIP

    Membership to SCCDT is required to enroll in classes.

    Membership Fee $40.00 per student with $10 sibling discount. Family Maximum $90.00

    A Tuition deposit of ½ the monthly amount is due when you enroll.

     

    ROLLOVER REGISTRATION

    For your convenience and to reserve a space for the following season, each member will be automatically renewed on May 1st 2022 unless a formal written withdrawal is received before that date.

    August 30 – start of Upper School (Primary, Building and Graded Classes)

    September 6 - No Classes

    September 7 - Junior School Begins (Tiny Twirlers, Tutus and Tippys and Pre-Primary Classes)

    October 11 - 15 - Fall Break (Reserved week)

    November 23 - 28 - Thanksgiving Break

    Nov/Dec TBD - Christmas Performances

    December 19 - January 2 - Christmas Break

    January 3 - Classes Resume

    April 10-17 - Easter Break

    May 21 - Junior Recital (last day of Junior School)

    Week of June 13 - Spring Production for Upper and Graded schools

    TBD - Last Day of Upper School Classes

  • ENROLLMENT

    ENROLL Online at: SCChristianDance.com or through the Parent Portal

    We will send an email confirmation of your enrollment.

     

    ALL CLASSES

    ·        Enrollment for classes and workshops are on a first-come first-served basis. Class sizes are limited. Class size minimums must be met in order for the class to be held.   Class schedules are subject to change.

    ·        Teacher assignments will be announced when classes begin.

    ·        SCCDT reserves the right to reschedule, combine or provide a substitute for classes.

    ·        Class placement for students is determined by faculty and finalized for new students after faculty observation.

    ·        All class schedules, events and fees are subject to change.

     

     

    RESCHEDULING, TEACHER AND CLASS SUBSTITUTION

    SCCDT reserves the right to reschedule or combine classes.

    SCCDT reserves the right to provide a substitute or replacement teacher as SCCDT may deem necessary. 

    SCCDT reserves the right to deliver class content via an online system in the event that classes are not able to be conducted live for any reason including, but not limited to: weather, teacher absence, or governmental advisory.

  • TUITION FEES AND PAYMENTS

    ·        Tuition rates are for the full season (including studio holidays), from August 23 - TBD for the Upper School or Sept 7 - May 21 for the Junior School, not by the number of classes in the month. A full season of dance includes a minimum of 32 weekly lessons.

    ·        Tuition fees are paid monthly. 

    ·        May tuition is ½ the usual amount.

    ·        Performance package fees are paid monthly Sept – April – the same amount each month

    ·        Upon enrolling for classes a tuition deposit of ½ the usual monthly tuition is due.

    ·        Tuition Payment: Each account must authorize SCCDT to automatically charge your card monthly for fees. Automatic payments are made by EFT, debit or credit card payments on the 10th day of each month.  Should you choose to submit your payments with cash or check, it is your responsibility to submit your payments by the 10th of each month.

     

    LATE PAYMENTS

    There is a $10.00 fee on late accounts. Accounts which are overdue 60 days will be suspended from attendance of classes until the account is made current. Students who have a balance due will not be permitted to participate in performances.

    Tuition will be charged for all classes until a written withdrawal request notice is received even if a student does not attend the class.

     

    NSF / DECLINED PAYMENTS

    There is a $20.00 fee on NSF accounts.

     

    DISCOUNTS

    Siblings receive a 10% discount on the smaller tuition amount for regular school year classes. No sibling discounts are offered for summer classes, special events, guest artists or Dance Radiance.

     

    REFUNDS/CREDIT ON ACCOUNT

    Tuition, membership fees, costume, production and event fees are not refundable for any reason. Refunds are only issued when SCCDT cancels a class due to low enrollment.

    No refunds will be given if a similar online class is provided in place of an in-studio class.

     I hereby authorize SC Christian Dance Theater, LLC to debit my checking account the membership fee as well as the tuition, costume and production fees amount on the 10th of each month.

    I agree to notify SCCDT in writing of any changes in my account information or termination of this authorization 15 days prior to the next due date of the charges.   I will not dispute the company’s recurring billing with my bank or credit card company; so long as the transaction corresponds to the terms indicated in this agreement. I understand that tuition will be posted to my account and charged monthly to my card unless I give written notification that I am withdrawing from classes. No withdrawals are accepted after March 1 of the dance year you attend.

  • PAYMENT CHOICE #3 SUBMIT YOUR OWN PAYMENTS

    Submit Payments yourself = You will be responsible to submit payment yourself on or before the 10th of each month. You have many options to submit payment including:

    ·        Log in to your dancer’s portal and pay with your credit/debit card

    ·        Stop by the desk and submit your payment via check, cash or credit/debit card

    ·        Mail in your payment to SCCDT 736 St Andrews RD, Suite M Columbia, SC 29210

    ·        Call the studio and ask us to charge your credit/debit card.

    I would like to be responsible for submitting payments on my own. It is my responsibility to be sure the payments are made.

  • 2 WAYS TO LEARN

    SCCDT offers traditional classes & online instruction (BY REQUEST ONLY) to meet the needs of students and staff as well as for the ability to maintain service continuity in any situation. However, we do not desire for the online instruction to be used for the majority of a dancer’s training, but only as needed in a case by case basis. 

    Students must notify us by 3pm of their class day in order for zoom to be “turned on” for their class instruction.

     

    WITHDRAWAL FROM CLASSES 

    Tuition is due for two weeks beyond the date of the notice.

    Classes may be attended during your last two weeks. Our goal is for you to love dancing at SCCDT. If for some reason, there is a problem or issue that we should know about, PLEASE notify the faculty or staff so that we may have the opportunity to correct or alter the situation.

    If you must withdraw from class, you must let us know right away.

    Withdrawal from any class requires a signed written notice withdrawal form, which can be obtained from our studio front desk.

    The spring production requires all dancers to work together in class as a group. Therefore, no withdrawals will be accepted after March 1.

     

    ATTENDANCE

    Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. If you miss three consecutive weeks you may be dismissed from participating in the performance at the discretion of the teacher. Making up classes you miss because of illness or otherwise will depend on availability for your class.

     

    RESERVED WEEK BREAKS

    SCCDT provides one "reserved week" break that will provide flexibility during the dance season. Reserved week breaks allow for the potential makeup of classes in the event of breaks or a cessation of classes for any reason.

    DRESS CODE

    Each dance class has a required dress requirement, which must be worn for classes, rehearsals and performances. Leotards must have either a tank or short sleeve top. Failure to wear required dance wear to class can result in students being asked to sit out of class. All required items will be available for purchase from SCCDT. Please see the program guide for more details for your dance class uniform.

    SAFER STUDIO POLICY

    SCCDT requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill. Please be fever free for at least 24 hours before attending class.

    Please make every effort to read the updates and keep your Email addresses current.

     

    INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

    In the event of inclement weather, an email and Team APP message will be made by 2pm if classes are canceled (by 8am for morning classes). Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings as roads are often cleared by the time studio classes begin. Notification will be made on how to make up any canceled classes.

     

    LOST AND FOUND AND SECURITY

    A lost and found basket is located in the girls' dressing room. Please check the lost and found basket regularly as all lost and found items are donated to charity each month.

    Security cameras are located in public areas for safety and security. SCCDT does not make security or video data available to students or parents. 

    SCCDT is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not leave belongings unattended.

     

     

    PERFORMANCES:

               Performance Packages: All classes will have a monthly performance fee due on the 10th of each month. September – April. The performance fee is the same each month.

               Performance package fees are not prorated when joining after the dance year has begun.

               Parents are responsible for paying the performance fees for all performances their child will participate.

               Please see your Financial summary for specific information regarding your account.

    Performance Package Fees:

     

    • Tiny Twirlers and Tutus and Tippy Toes - $8.75 monthly (includes Christmas performance experience and Junior Recital experience)
    • Pre-Primary - $13.50 monthly (includes Christmas production experience and Junior Recital experience)
    • Primary & Building Level 1 class - $24.25 monthly (includes Christmas production experience and Spring Production experience with 1 take home costume)
    • Primary & Building Level 2 classes - $38.00 monthly (includes Christmas production experience and Spring Production experience with 2 take home costumes)
    • Building Teens and Graded Level 1 class - $25.50 monthly (includes Christmas production experience and Spring Production experience with 1 take home costume)
    • Building Teens and Graded Level 2 classes - $40.50 monthly (includes Christmas production experience and Spring Production experience with 2 take home costumes)

     Performance details:

    Christmas Experiences: (included in the performance package fees)

    All classes are invited to participate in a Christmas performance experience.

    *This year's plans are still in the works and will be announced soon.

    *Tutus & Tippy Toes & Tiny Twirlers Christmas Experience: $16.00

    *All other classes Christmas Experience: 

    *1st Class: $54.00  Each additional class: $24.00

    *Tickets vary in price: $12.00-$25.00

    Spring Performances: (included in the performance package fees)

    Junior Recital:

    This special recital on May 21st gives our youngest dancers a fun  and "just for them" experience where their loved ones can cheer and encourage the progress made over the year.

    ·        Junior Recital Fee: $54.00

    Spring Production:

    This year's spring production will be held …. TBD.

    ·        Production fee per dancer: $54.00

    (you will receive live action pictures and HD video recording)

    ·        Tickets vary in price: $20.00-$40.00 and will be available for purchase through a ticketing service (date TBA)

     

    Spring Production Costumes for each class:

    Primary & Building Level Costumes: $86.00+tax

    Graded Level Costumes $96.00+tax

    Costumes for the spring production are ordered in November and December 2021.

     

     

    CARE OF STUDENTS

     Please be on time to pick up your child. SCCDT is not responsible for providing care of students. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their classes.

     

     

     

    Signing this policy page informs us that you have read, understand and agree to abide by these policies.

     

    RELEASE:

    • I have read and agree to abide by South Carolina Christian Dance Theater, LLC's (herein SCCDT) policies regarding tuition, membership fees, auto-renewal, service delivery, late charges, refunds, costumes fees, attendance, and dance attire.

    • I understand that SCCDT reserves the right to refuse instruction to anyone not abiding by SCCDT policies.

    • I understand that SCCDT reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment falls below the minimum required amount of students.

    • I understand that SCCDT is not responsible for lost items, stolen items, or unclaimed merchandise.

    • I understand that participation in a dance program involves risk of possible injury and/or illness. I understand that SCCDT and its staff will not be held responsible for injuries or illness sustained in class, in rehearsals, while performing, or traveling to or from its facilities.

    • I understand that I assume full financial responsibility for risks of personal and bodily injury and/or illness that may be sustained in class, while performing, or traveling to or its facilities.

    • I have and will maintain, at my expense, sufficient health insurance and other types of medical payments to cover the cost of any personal and bodily injury and/or illness may be sustained in class, in rehearsals, while performing, or traveling to or from its facilities.

    • I release SCCDT and its managers, instructors, employees, agents, associations, related companies, successors and assigns, from liability for all personal and bodily injury and/or illness that may be sustained in class, in rehearsals, while performing, or traveling to or from its facilities. I specifically intend this release to include all claims that my child and I might have based on actual or alleged negligent supervision, instruction, training, and or facility care and cleaning.

    • There exists a risk of the spread of COVID-19 (or any other sickness/virus) in any group, social setting,  public setting, location or event. Presence on the SCCDT property/campus could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19 (or any other sickness/virus). SCCDT disclaims any liability for exposure to COVID-19 (or any other sickness/virus) and by your entry or presence on SCCDT’s campus or property, you voluntarily assume all risks and agree you will not hold SCCDT or its related parties liable for any resulting illness or injury.
  • PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE:

    I grant South Carolina Christian Dance Theater LLC, World Mission Center, Eric Elder Ministries, Xtreme Solutions and Ashley Medlin Photography (hereinafter "Entities" irrevocable permission to use my child's image, name and visual likeness in all forms and media for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purpose. I agree that all right, title and interest in and to all such images and any reproductions or derivative works shall be the exclusive property of SCCDT. Additionally, from time to time parents and students may opt to share videos, photos or other information on social media pages that may be used, hosted, created or referenced by any of the above-named Entities. The party posting takes responsibility for all sharing or posting of such information and waives any claim against the Entities for the release of any protected information. If my child(ren) is under the age of 18 at the time of this agreement, the party signing makes this waiver on behalf of their child(ren).  I hereby release SCCDT and the named Entities from all liability or legal responsibility that may arise from the acts that I have authorized or consented to herein.  I agree that SCCDT does not owe me any compensation for the acts that I have consented to in this Section.
